The lovely Elizabeth Scarlett lemon drop bag that was included in last years edit is on sale for £24.00. I was wondering favourite beauty buys from last year and I think the Lemon Drop edit was my absolute favourite, specifically the bag. It really is lovely.

My Medik8 day cream and Tatcha eye cream are nearly finished, what are you using/have you used from the BACs/edits that you love? I’m trying to decide what to try next (I’ve likely already got it in my stash!)

These look great, especially the ‘art of everyday’ one. Very wearable colours. Tempting depending on the price point.

Im resisting. I have plenty of make up to go at.

Me too. Individually there's some expensive products but a bit of a random colour curation in the 2nd box.

Might be worth it if anyone is keen to try the DM Colorfix stix as they are expensive. Full disclosure I did buy one last year and I don't really like it but a lot of people raved about them at the time.

@Thelifeofawife - I quite like the MZ eye cream and moisturiser. I’ve tried it but decided to use it up properly once I have finished what I’m using atm.

I won’t be repurchasing at those prices, though.

JoRaRaRa · 21/01/2026 11:09

@OvaHere yes, you should try it, I'm like that with some brands though, I just straight out refuse to try them without any reason 🤣

@pinkchampagne1 it's a brilliant deal, you should defo go for it 💁🏻‍♀️

@ITookYourJoob I love the smell of the cleansing balm, it smells very spa like to me 🥰 I use it every night and already have a large amount of them in backup 🙈 definitely didn't need anymore 🤣 The retinol serum is worth £145 though and I do recommend it, so that alone is worth more than the AC. So basically everything else is free. Girl maths!! 💃

I am very tempted with the extra discount code and the free gift, but I have enough skin care to last me about 5 years so must try to resist!

Edited

I may be tempted with the first one as want to try the eyelash curlers and the Charlotte….of course I then want two items from the second one….if only we could mix and match and of course don’t need any of it.

This is one I was keen to try. I also won’t be repurchasing but it will be nice to use as a one off (unless there are some repeats in edits/BACs)

I’m kicking myself, I’ve had such a busy day and completely forgot that I hadn’t checked out my CB basket and now it looks like the GWP is OOS - granted I wasn’t overly excited by it, but now I’m reluctant to proceed without

This is not related to offers but I have none else to tell!!!!! 😁
Paula's Choice new serum Cellular Youth had a press event yesterday - Instagram, the fountain of modern advertising, has told me so.
Which means they will start pushing this new product everywhere. I can't find an option to order a sample anywhere and, being so new, it's not on Vinted or eBay just yet.
Will this replace medik8 advanced liquid peptides serum (fantastic on expression lines) or will it be an amazing product tackling other skin problems (it appears to deal with skin sagging and skin surface quality mainly)?
Who has a crystal ball? Does anyone understand the ingredients to be able to estimate what it might do? As much as I find Paula's Choice to be a very good and respectable brand, I am reluctant to buy the serum without trying first. Although when I see 'peptides' of any kind I am keen to explore further because they do work.

JoRaRaRa · 22/01/2026 09:42

@Branster I've never tried anything from Paula's Choice. I think because they have blue, pink, coral, purple etc packaging, in my head, I instantly think it's a brand for teens. Would you recommend them? I did keep the moisturiser from the SNK calendar but I've yet to use it.

I am looking forward to trying the new Medik8 serum, I've not yet bought it as I have a lot in my stash, but I keep stalking insta for a link to a sample.

OvaHere · 22/01/2026 10:06

I've got a product recommendation this morning. The last few days I've been trying out Covergirl Olay Simply Ageless Foundation.
https://uk.iherb.com/pr/covergirl-olay-simply-ageless-foundation-spf-28-205-ivory-0-4-oz-12-g/137994

I saw this recommended on YT as amazing for mature skin and wow I'm really impressed with it. I've been using a brush to apply but it does come with a sponge. It's very creamy and serum like and goes on beautifully. There's also a pump version of this foundation but I've not tried that.

I have skin that leans dry and it seems perfect for that but I couldn't say how it would perform with oily skin. Possibly not as great for oily skin as the finish is hydrating with a lightish glow.

Downside is Covergirl isn't easily available in the UK so I had to buy via a third party (link above) so it's a bit more expensive than in the US where it's drugstore price of around $10. It's still not expensive compared to some foundations and so far I think it rivals some high end ones.

The brand has also recently released some baked bronzers and blushes that are Hourglass dupes and they've been getting good reviews. Wouldn't mind trying those at some point if I can find them on Amazon or a site like iherb.

I'm a fan of premium make up but I do love discovering these gems in the 'drugstore' category.

Paula’s choice doesn’t work woth
my skin even the exfoliant that everyone raves about and I wanted to love didn’t agree. I’ve tried two moisturisers the barrier one which I had high hopes for because of sensitive skin and then pink one but both dried my skin and irritated it and took me weeks of working to get it back to normal. I use the medik8 peptides serum and love it so I’ll be interested to hear if others favour the PC one when released.

Im trying to do consistency this month at night of dr Dennis 2 sachets, medik8 peptides, tatcha water cream thin layer then medik8 crystal ret 6 then AB rich cream before sleep I let each have their time sinking in etc and hope the moisture layer between the 2 medik8 is ok but my skin is feeling great thought I still look older than I am in mirror x

Twinsandsome · 22/01/2026 10:29

Another serum I really am loving is DE glass water I’m trying to use this in the morning. X

@OvaHere Do you know what the maximum spend on iherb is before there are additional taxes? I ordered from them quite regularly but always keep it under £25.

Not sure. I've only ordered once when I bought this.

@JoRaRaRa I'm tempted by the Eve Lom set you posted, mainly as I want to start using retinol and it seems an amazing offer. I don't suppose you know the strength of the EL retinol included do you?

I'm not sure whether to risk using the 15% off code £16, takes it under £100 )incase I don't get the free gift, I might use your £10 off code as free gift worth thr extra £6😂

LouScot · 22/01/2026 20:40

Google says that it's 0.1% and good for those just starting with retinol.

I cancelled my first order and reordered using the code and my £10 voucher, so it came up to £82. It's been sent out and the delivery notice shows the free gift on there. It's meant to be arriving tomorrow 😊

This is the link http://rwrd.io/yfw1usv?s it does say that it's £10 off the first order. I'm not sure how it works though.

I bought the eve lom set and got £15 off by signing up to their marketing. It came to 97.50 and I still got the free gift
