Happy new year everyone!

This thread is for sharing our full size repurchases and patting ourselves on the back for buying only what we need and want. Rather than what’s marketed and hyped, it’s the anti-offers, anti-impulse buying thread to help the low-but resolutions and stash reducers.

Post when you repurchase or buy something full sizes based on reputation and reviews. Or if there’s something you’ve finished in your stash that you would buy full size - to encourage stash reduction.

I expect this to be a slooooow thread.

For me, I’ll be looking to buy spring skincare, perfume and makeup in about February, hopefully some nice new releases then and I’ll wait for a Cult Beauty 25% offer for Cult Beauty Gold members. There’ll probably be a few New Year and Valentine’s offers we’ll need to help each other resist. I quite like @OvaHere’s routine of daily eye patches, I get up very early, and like to have hot drink with them in first thing, and am looking on Boots site for a multi pack of those, Pixi and Nip&Fab do tubs of 20 pairs.

I’ve just repurchased the Ultra Violette Supreme Screen SPF 50 (30% off in Space NK). It’s my third time repurchasing, I use it everyday in place of moisturiser (over the Clinique Active Glow Serum which I’m on my third bottle of!)

LBB2020 · 01/01/2026 13:26

I really striped back my skincare last year and if I see any of the products I use daily with a decent discount I will buy one as backup!
I bought the Vaseline Gluta Hya Dewy body lotion in December and it’s just about finished, will definitely repurchase (it sinks in without leaving any sticky/tacky feeling at all!)

ASOS have up to 30% off the Pixi eye patches using the code HNY

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/01/2026 13:35

Gosh I've just remembered I've got two tubs of eye patches in the fridge from last summer!

LoveLabradors · 01/01/2026 13:48

Talking of eye patches.. Did anyone else get the bargain Elle backstage edit last year which had the reusable 4am eye patches in? I’ve used them so much and they’ve been great with a super rich eye cream and a little oil. Great results. I guess as they are reusable can come under slow @BakeOffRewatch ?

Defiantly41 · 01/01/2026 14:43

Le Labo The Noir perfume
DS & Durga I don’t know what perfume
Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery moisturiser
Ultra Violette Supreme Screen
K18 leave in conditioner mask

This is a fab idea @BakeOffRewatch. Joining in please. 🫡

I did a full inventory and audit of what I have in stock 😆 and deduced across all beauty bits all I need is some more toner (I will be using the serum and retinol pile into the next millennium). So I bought the haruharu black rice essence I like with current offers on and so now I should be set for ages now on everything. What can go wrong? 😬

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/01/2026 16:02

Thank you for this thread. I'd like to make less purchases and actually use up things instead of hoarding them like a little goblin, and then perhaps make some considered purchases based on preferences and knowledge rather than wine and impulse.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/01/2026 16:03

Full inventory here too @dc82 - I have 7 toners for some reason. And 15 cleansers! What on earth happened?

user593 · 01/01/2026 16:13

I’m close to finishing Claudalie Vinoperfect Glycolic Night Cream so purchased a second one 50% off from Space NK. I’m also close to finishing off Shiseido Waso Satocane Scrub Mask so picked up two nearly 50% off at All Beauty.

I also recently purchased Dr Sebagh Deep Exfoliating Mask - the salon size - with 30% off from Dr Sebagh. £75.60 for 150ml rather than £60 for 50ml, which I was very happy with. The salon size also comes in a pump rather than a pot which I much prefer!

I’m afraid these are all offers… but they are also repurchases.

I don’t know how we’ve done it 😅😅😅

Cyclingmummy1 · 01/01/2026 16:33

I did @LoveLabradors and I've not used them. Maybe I need to start, I've loads of eye cream. I used a pair of 'gold' single use one before Christmas and my under eyes looked so much better.

Love Ultra Violette! I’m just repurchased my 3rd bottle of Future Fluid. Best SPF I’ve ever tried by far - so light yet hydrating and gives a lovely, healthy glow. I really like that it’s a mineral formula as they seem to get on far better with my sensitive skin. The only SPF I’ve ever actively enjoyed wearing! Works a little bit too well if anything, my bare skin looked ghostly pale all summer despite spending most of my time outside🤣

CannotBeBothered2025 · 01/01/2026 16:38

I need to do a full audit and see what I have. I'm going to treat myself to a haul from cult beauty tomorrow as I have a £45 voucher to use that runs out on 5th Jan.

Cadogan66 · 01/01/2026 16:44

Other frequent repurchases which will continue into 2026:

Avène Cicalfate
Bioderma micellar water
Philip Kingsley Elasticiser deep conditioner
Ilia limitless lash mascara
Milk Future Fluid concealer
Dr Lipp lip balm
Clinique black honey almost lipstick

LightandBreezy · 01/01/2026 17:38

Hello and Happy New Year! Thanks @BakeOffRewatch for the timely new thread. I also did a full inventory, ha, wish I hadn't - I now feel a bit pressured. I didn't buy anything except shampoo and conditioner in the first six months of last year, so I will be doing that again I think and tackling what I have in rough date of purchase order. Most of it is from my Ac and a few edits in September so nothing should be going off soon at least but I won't need to buy a serum or a moisturiser all year. I will run out of tinted moisturiser pretty quickly and could justify a nice candle or 2 easily if an amazing GWP came along, plus I'm still subcribed to the Beauty Drop so that will have to sate any urges for newness for a while.

MrsBnow12 · 01/01/2026 17:39

I am due to do a full audit and make a list of what I have, I know I don’t need anything but need make a list so I can shop my stash and not be too inticed to buy.
Things I will buy when on offer is the Bioeffect EGF serum
and Medik8 Advanced peptides.

OvaHere · 01/01/2026 18:48

Great thread idea @BakeOffRewatch thank you.

I had a critical look at my stash post xmas and have cut it down a bit by selling or passing stuff on I feel isn't that suited to me. There's no way I will use up everything I have in a year but the aim is to make significant headway.

The only category I could see me completely using up and legitimately needing to make a purchase is cleansing balms. I think I have around 6- 8 ish in various sizes and can usually get through a 30-50ml size in a month or so. Mini sizes much less.

Possibly I'll get through the majority of my soap and body wash in a year.

Watch this space as they say.

JoRaRaRa · 02/01/2026 09:53

Happy New Year everyone 🎉🎊🍾

I hope everyone had a brilliant Christmas and New Year's Eve 😍

I'm checking in for a low buy year, starting with a NO ⛔ buy January. I love the Bioeffect Egf serum, so like @MrsBnow12 I'll pick up any edit or bargains of this if there is any.

I also need to do an inventory and also include what the serums are good for etc. I can see this becoming a proper database 🤣 I get really geeky on excel if I want something to be long term. My finance spreadsheet is now 9 tabs 🤪 but I do get some pretty graphs and pie charts on the 'dashboard' 💁🏻‍♀️

AprilLady · 02/01/2026 11:57

Thanks for the new thread @BakeOffRewatch I still have a huge stash, and having purchased a couple of the only HG product I regularly run out of in the BF sales (Bobbi Brown under eye corrector) I expect I could go the whole year without needing anything except maybe shampoo and conditioner and foundation if my currently in use bottle and spare get used up.

Despite buying quite a few kits and calendars, my favourite purchase in the last six months was probably the Byredo Bibliophilia eyeshadow palette. So definitely on for a year of only carefully considered purchases.

NiceUnusualDifferent · 02/01/2026 12:07

Great idea for a thread. I saved all my empties last year and reviewed how much of everything I'd actually used then went through my stash and I have enough of everything for 2026 except mist. I usually use the geek & Gorgeous one but got the laneige one in my advent calendar so will repurchase that in full size probably in the first part of the year.

I was so tempted by that palette. Truthfully I don't think most of the colours would look that good on me so I didn't succumb but it looks beautiful. If they bring out one that is more suited to me in the future I probably will get one.

QueefofSheena · 02/01/2026 19:40

I’ve grouped my skincare into brands so I’m intending to go through and use each group up before I buy anything new. This will probably take most of the year so I’ll stock up again next advent season. I’ll make an exception for a decently priced edit if it has Bioeffect EGF serum

Thelifeofawife · 04/01/2026 12:17

Thanks for the thread @BakeOffRewatch

I have repurchased Kate Somerville goat milk cleanser, and when the QVC offer was on I stocked up on Elemis face cream.
I am tempted to purchase HG swan palette while there are still offers on. I bought the deer palette but have not used yet. I do use the evil eye one which is very similar to swan. I’m planning to use more day to day now rather than just for special occasions, as it does make a big difference to my make up look.

I like @NiceUnusualDifferent idea of reviewing the stash of previous empties - I have a bag full as I’ve not got round to doing the Boots recycle scheme yet.

I’m also looking to do an inventory of products, as I still have quite a few things from previous year BAC. I really do need a low buy year so I can use up what I have now.
