Flat flat flat does not suit me.

Anyway, they only look good on 17 year old sticks.

oh dear, I'm not a 17 year old stick (but I am tall, there's gotta be some compensation to having an arse the size of a bus !)

princessmel · 10/06/2008 21:51

I saw a nice pair in Clarks. I'll try and do a link

NonnyNooNoo · 10/06/2008 21:51

god no, i didn't like them last time around. they do not flatter any leg.

DrNortherner · 10/06/2008 21:51

nice and clarks can not feature in the same sentance when it comes to grown up shoes.

mum at school today had some on. They looked odd. And she was a hoofer.

maidamess · 10/06/2008 21:53

I saw a gal in them on The boat to Hampton Court and I thought 'Hmmmmm they might be THE missing shoe in my wardrobe'

DrNortherner · 10/06/2008 21:53

horned hoofer i mean

they're just about the only thing I can get to go with my new frock though... at a loss as to what else to wear with it...

umberella · 10/06/2008 21:54

i've got muckle calves. they're not for me either, although i do like them on skinny bints

Confederate · 10/06/2008 21:55

I do not think they are particularly lady-like. I can't imagine anyone wearing them and looking attractive for the summer.

DrNortherner · 10/06/2008 21:55

Fearn Cotton looks good in them, but then she would look good in a bin bag.

who is fearne cotton? She has a nice name, but it sounds a bit like a made-up name. Is she an actress?

Oh thank you very much princess mel. It is a pretty name, but also a bit indecisive, but it does sound clean though, which is nice.

princessmel · 10/06/2008 22:06

lol

ingles2 · 10/06/2008 22:09

I wore a pair at a wedding on Saturday and they were from M&S would you believe. I thought they looked rather nice everyone else was probably commenting on my fat ankles though.

fishie · 10/06/2008 22:10

every single person in covent garden was wearing them today (glads not cottons). me too.

i was particularly impressed with suede ones which were basically flat ankle boots with bits cut out, so there was a big cuff thing round the ankle. and she was leggy and 17.
