I'm not keen on it - it looks like a going out top and a winter sweater merged into one - too dressy for daytime and too casual for night out.

With all those sequins how’s it too casual for a night out?

Magpie50 · 18/11/2025 01:46

Whilst I love abit of sparkle it's not for me.
The knitted edges look too wooly to go with the sequins, it's kinda giving Frankenjumper to me!
I like the gold colour though.

SpidersAreShitheads · 18/11/2025 03:20

Sorry OP, it’s a no from me.

The deep cuff looks oddly heavy against the sequins and I don’t like the overall length or shape.

And even aside from all of that, I can’t imagine a less appropriate jumper to wear for a pub Sunday roast. Sequins suggest nights out on the town, not a lazy Sunday afternoon in a cosy pub. I’d feel wildly overdressed in a sequinned jumper!

Sorry 🫣

piscofrisco · 18/11/2025 06:34

I love it! I had a beautiful jumper from
Mint Velvet with a sort of knot detail
at the back. DH washed it on an hot wash and shrunk it.I managed to find another one on vinted. He has only bloody put it in the tumble dryer and shrunk that one too 😡. Anyway I digress-my point is if you love it, buy it and enjoy wearing it!

Nitgel · 18/11/2025 06:39

120 for 8 percent wool! No its bad fast fashion.

I dont know how these companies get away with it.

SalmonOnFinnCrisp · 18/11/2025 06:43

Hard No.

The cut is so awkward /short looking

SoftLass · 18/11/2025 06:45

I'm a fan of sequins and of MV in general but I don't like this at all. Too short and wide, the shoulders look bizarrely square on the model, short sleeves are not for me this time of year and £120 for a (basically) polyester jumper?!? Hugely overpriced. You wouldn't have any trouble washing it though, the wool content is so low.
There must be nicer sequin jumpers out there?

MiddleAgedDread · 18/11/2025 07:10

TheCurious0range · 17/11/2025 21:23

It looks quite short, maybe I'm just sensitive to that as a fairly tall person, but there are a lot of cropped jumpers around which I don't understand, if it's cold enough to wear a jumper I don't want my belly button out.
It is beautiful though

This!! I’m sick of the “boxy” top trend that’s in at the moment, I keep picking things up in the shops and they’re wider than they’re long! I’m not that tall but so many things don’t meet my waist these days. I don’t want a draft round my middle aged mid-drift!

Silverbirchleaf · 18/11/2025 07:16

It’s lovely .

SheinIsShite · 18/11/2025 08:14

I like it, would worry it would be scratchy and uncomfortable to wear though.

Well obviously not the sequins, but the knitted ribbed sections which to my eye clash with the sequinned part.

Nitgel · 18/11/2025 08:25

Sequins are so bad for the environment. This doesnt seem to bother companies but we can stop buying.

Donnyoh · 18/11/2025 08:26

Honestly, it looks too short and it's way overpriced. Given that you'll only ever wear it a few times, I would look at cheaper sequin tops, or have a look on Vinted. I always see MV the same as Hush - it all looks ok, if pricey, until you wash it. Then it is ruined.

CuriousKangaroo · 18/11/2025 08:32

I quite like it, but I don’t understand the point of short sleeved jumpers. It’s either cold enough for a jumper which means you need sleeves, or warm enough to wear short sleeves so you don’t need a jumper. They look nice but I find them impractical.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/11/2025 08:36

I like it but not keen on the colour.

OhDear111 · 18/11/2025 08:36

No one would wear that in pubs I go to! We’re more wellies and Barbours! Christmas lunch maybe? Otherwise around here someone would ask if you were lost. Nothing wrong with a good polyester jumper with a large price tag! Just needs a London restaurant!

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 18/11/2025 10:31

I love it but just can't wear sequins - I have shoulder length curly hair and it constantly catches in the sequins and gets stuck. So annoying!

youegg · 18/11/2025 10:45

Slothey · 17/11/2025 21:38

Sorry to be boring… but how the hell do you wash it? It doesn’t look practical for a pub lunch where it’s probably going to encounter sweat and gravy.

Lol! Are you eating with such ferocity that you are spraying sweat and gravy everywhere?

VenusClapTrap · 18/11/2025 10:50

I like the colour but that’s about it. Short sleeved jumpers don’t work for me - if it’s cold enough for a jumper, then I want sleeves. I dislike puff sleeves anyway because I find them very unflattering. And the overall shape isn’t good.

Well I was actually planning on wearing to a roast at hawksmoor

I do think it would be nicer with a 3/4 length sleeve tho….

Oh god that made me crack up !!😂😂

only enough like Andrew Mountbatten windsor
I don’t really sweat…

so my cashmere jumpers I just don’t wash ever

sometime I put them on the line to air
and if I got say a bit of something on them I just spot clean that area only

some I’ve had years and never washed

What is susss thou is, the model only sitting down in the photos, i’m going to pop into town to try it on in person

too dressy for daytime and too casual for night out.

I can see that being the perfect jumper for late afternoon/ early evening drinks at a wine bar. We often have a theatre afternoon and cocktails on the way home. ( Then put our cozy's on and slump in front of the tv watching the iplayer for the rest of the night!)

RayonSunrise · 18/11/2025 11:07

I’ve tried this on recently. It’s quite stiff and not very stretchy (for a knit), so it’s quite “structured.” Would likely be best on someone with narrow shoulders and a small-to-medium bust. Oh, and a neutral-warm complexion - it’s quite golden/tan!

eta: I am broad shouldered, large boobed and cool/pale, so it was a no on all counts for me!

OhDear111 · 18/11/2025 12:25

@AceKitten Well London restaurant then! I feel once worn thats it though. A one hit wonder. Then plastic sequins end up in landfill.
