I do love it especially the length and price but i fear it will be everywhere. What I really want is a lighter cream/ beige version as I'm blonde these colours look great on me. Has anyone seen anything similar looking?

They did a similar one last year, I think, and it might be on Vinted. I have to say, I love mine but it’s so rarely dry enough but cold enough to wear it these days that I mainly just stroke it in my wardrobe.

I just snorted at the sentence 'I mainly just stroke it in my wardrobe'. Thanks for brightening my morning!

Don't know - but here's a property description of their return/business address.

This charming two-room apartment is located on Stadhoudersplantsoen in The Hague. Stadhoudersplantsoen 224-K is a walk-up apartment with a living area of 60 m² . The apartment also features a pleasant 18 m² terrace

Make your own judgement 🤨

for example:

"Exercise extreme caution with Maison Dresson online clothing company. They pose behind an attractive website registered in The Hague. If there is a problem with the product sent, ie as in my case the wrong garment and very poor quality, you have to send it back to China at considerable expense - min £15. If after weeks of wrangling they agree a full refund their bank charges knock off a further big charge. I have been seriously stung by buying through this company."

There are a number of these fake Chinese companies that pretend to be based in the Netherlands or Germany or other EU countries, but are Chinese companies. This is the second one I have seen on MN - that one was purporting to be a German company and the website images looked AI generated.

I sniff an ad bot, lol.

Bought a gorgeous one off eBay years ago. Unfortunately it's been too warm the last decade to wear it. It's an American designer who's famous for them, or was

I've got some real ones inherited that are many decades old. They've probably quietly fallen to bits in the spare room wardrobe.

The look & feel of the fake fur is really important to me though. I like it to be thick & silky & realistic! I'd go & fondle a few in the shops before purchasing, OP ...!

The chevron in the Simply Be one is a classic vintage fur pattern.

You’re right, it’s the feel as well as the look that makes faux fur stylish.
I have a gorgeous brown mix coloured one from M&S from years ago, absolutely stunning.
I wore it on a very cold holiday in New York 12 years ago during Thanksgiving and had umpteen strangers complimenting me, (stroking my arms in Dunkin Donuts and at Macy’s parade😂) thinking it was real fur, all were incredulous it was fake.
I love it but haven’t worn it since one of my DC called it my “Uncle Fester” coat and the rest of them agreed with him😭
As a PP said up thread I also stroke it occasionally when I open my wardrobe🤣

I have a leopard print one that elicits those types of reaction too!! From H&M via eBay, so not remotely expensive but the loveliest fake fur ever!

I'd just ignore your children & wear it again this winter. And if they mention Uncle Festus again, threaten them with adoption ... 😁

Winters in the UK just arent cold enough. I bought a pink puffa coat from Yours four years ago and still havent worn it because i would be too hot. Last winter i was fine with a denim jacket Wearing this jacket recently i had to keep taking it off Was still getting too hot

henlake7 · 12/11/2025 19:00

Faux fur coats are Def one of the things I would have no idea how to style....but really want anyways!
I was admiring them in Primark today and thought the quality looked lovely but worry it would just give Tribble on me.
Ended up buying a coat that was more to my style though. A faux sheepskin one in a kinda 70s oversized car coat style.....not as strokeable but probably more wearable!😂
