Such a good clip!! Yes, you’re bang on!

also, I want to watch TDWP now 😄

I knew it would be the cerulean sweater scene!

I always wonder why those posters are on the style and beauty board, when they are very clear that they are totally uninterested in style and, well, beauty.

That’s a very good point. For people like this, clothes and style is very functional.

Everyone recognises her black hair though. It’s her usp now. It totally works for traitors. She probably has a tan from holidays and tops it up. She’s very recognizable and I think she’s stylish. She’s much older than many who are copying her that’s for sure!

She looks awesome.

@Comefromaway Botega is recognizable of you know what you are looking for. People interested in fashion do. Also Gucci do loads of bags without logos! I’m not sure you’re really looked! Most of their heritage bags like Jackie, Bamboo and Horsebit are all available in plain leather.

Comefromaway · 04/11/2025 14:30

Of course it is recognisable of you know what it looks like. But most people I know don't know what they are looking for. They wear their YSL belts and carry their Gucci GG handbags. They probably look at me in my Loewe, Brunello Cucinelli with my Bottega bag and wearing my Gucci Horsebit loafers and think it's only High street. (yes I know Loewe is a logo but it's not one people round here know).

I don't care, I go for the quality and longevity and craftmanship.

OhDear111 · 04/11/2025 14:35

@Comefromaway Not sure where you live but ……. You need to get friends who appreciate your taste.

Do you think? I often wonder what she looks like in normal everyday life, lol.

She's explicitly said this in interviews. It's a disguise/costume

She does wear some cheaper pieces which are often listed too. However her style on this programme is being copied so people are looking. I would not spend that on boots either and unfortunately £1000 is a bit low for a classic bag now.

that’s a very interesting point regarding all the crazy markups.
i used to love Bottega , I still own a few old Bottega bags , and believe it or not , 8-9 years ago you could walk into their boutique and buy beautiful bags for less than £1k, I have a beautiful Bottega pillow bag that was £900 something, and it’s far superior and more timeless than currents cassette or Jodie bags.

now I understand boots costing £1k or more if it means comfort and and long lasting , have quite a few Hermes ones , had them for years and years and are still in production. but these new Bottega chunky boots are just dated now . No point in wasting £1k on them

Comefromaway · 04/11/2025 19:55

I tend to buy preloved where possible. I have two Bottega bags, one is very old but the other was new however I got it discounted in a relocation sale for less than £1,000

jjeoreo · 04/11/2025 20:44

I've just been told by my lovely mother in law that there was a recent article in the FT about the price increase in luxury items over the last 30 or so years. She has just told me about a pair of gucci boots she bought for £150 in 1980. Wait - that's more than 30 years ago. Anyway apparently relatively speaking costs have increased so dramatically fewer people are now buying them.

I wouldn't know as I've never earned enough money to buy designer stuff. The only designer item I really covet is basket weave Bottega Venta bag of my mums..unfortunately she plans to be buried with it more or less., so...

GellerYeller · 04/11/2025 20:53

I love Claudia’s style. I’d love to see what she looks like out and about off camera. The makeup and tan isn’t for me, but she’s got a signature ‘on telly’ look and fair play to her.

Me too! I think they only come on here to proclaim their superiority to anyone who takes an interest in fashion. It's the same with poor Jess Cartner-Morley in the Guardian. Every week, no matter what she's writing about, there are BTL comments from readers insisting that they don't care about fashion and they just wear what they like. I wonder if they also comment on the books pages saying they don't care about books and they just read what they like. (I'm very sure they don't.)

Some great boots on this thread! I love them!

PeonyPatch · 05/11/2025 09:20

Yes I saw these pics, and an old video clip of her resurface. She looks wildly different. I don’t know if she treats her current look as a disguise though. Maybe she amplifies it on TV appearances (why wouldn’t she), but how would it work in real life?

StrongLikeMamma · 07/11/2025 13:19

StrongLikeMamma · 03/11/2025 16:42

Yep. I like that they’re leather too. Hope they fit! 🤞

Will report back!

The LaRedoute boots fit. But I don’t think I love them was much as Claud’s 😭

Ah that’s sad. Will you try another pair?

defrazzled · 07/11/2025 15:55

They come up on Ebay slightly scuffed, shop damaged I think, but new for £450-600.

We're all influenced by fashion! Even those 10yr old jeans were a designers sketch probably 2 years earlier, that got filtered down from high end to high street!

Watching the Traitors final this week I wondered if her hair was in fact a wig. That would make for an instant disguise in her daily life.

It’s definitely not a wig. I saw her with her hair up for Strictly a couple weeks ago.

SwedishEdith · 08/11/2025 10:49

I'm not sure she could advertise Head and Shoulders scalp serum, or whatever it is, if she was wearing a wig. I understand the "disguise" argument but she'll be being sprayed tanned permanently for Strictly from October to Christmas.

I don't think it's a wig on Strictly (although wigs can be styled into updos).

Celebrity Traitors was filmed last spring. I think she has to be in 'Full Claudia' pretty much permanently during Strictly season, ie Sep-Dec, but the rest of the year she can change her natural hair etc in her daily life if she wishes. A full season of Traitors is approx a three-week shoot.

I don’t buy it. I follow her stylist on Instagram.

It’s also very difficult to change jet black hair.
