I only buy leather shoes or boots. I don't think I'd care whether they are hand- or machine stitched though. My own leather boots are at least 20 years old and I wear them every winter. They were from Clarks and I've had them re-soled a few times. I hope to keep wearing them for many years too. I agree that good footwear is worth the investment but I'd never be able to justify (or afford) £1k for boots!

@Lastfroginthebox So you aren’t really interested in fashion then. Obviously Claudia feels differently and has become a bit of a fashion icon in the programme. My DD says she gets a few things wrong though!

I follow her stylist on instagram… I’ve got a feeling she doesn’t own these clothes and has access to a wardrobe for the show. Absolutely love what she wears!!!

@PeonyPatch Undoubtedly styled for the show. They do a good job. Great for the brands and those copying the brands.

100% and not all of the clothes she wears is designer… some of its high street like Zara and Cos etc. She wore a beautiful khaki wool coat on Traitors recently and it was YSL. The dress she wore for Strictly results show on Sunday evening was a Zara little black dress x

No - not interested at all for myself, although I like to think I look ok for my age. I do think Claudia looks amazing but I think she could look just as amazing in £200 boots as in some that cost 5 times more. (Obviously, she can easily afford the expensive ones, so it doesn't matter to me which she buys.)

I do agree with this to be fair.
The bottega boots are glorious, but I couldn’t justify £1k on boots. I would probably spend that much on a bag if it was a classic but when it comes to footwear, I just think of the wear and tear….

She does wear some cheaper pieces which are often listed too. However her style on this programme is being copied so people are looking. I would not spend that on boots either and unfortunately £1000 is a bit low for a classic bag now.

Regardless of her style, I just think Claudia looks truly dreadful no matter how cool her clothes are because everything, everything, is ruined by the artificial colour of her complexion.
When I watch traitors with the kids and she walks in to the room, all I can think is how awful her orange skin looks.
And imo the boots are way too huge for the tininess of her legs. They look ridiculous on her.

Personally, I think her hair is too dark for her complexion and she overcompensates with fake tan - I think she’d look better with lighter brown hair…

She needs to stop making her face orange, and absolutely ditch the jet black hair dye and go brunette.
I think her black hair with orange face is a terrible look and the boots look comical on her. I'm surprised her stylist goes with it.

Oh yes, I love that look on her! Much more flattering with the lighter hair! Even a red tone would be better…

I strongly suspect that the more exaggerated features of her look are a form of costume or drag, so that when she removes them she can go about her daily life in almost complete anonymity.

Everyone recognises her black hair though. It’s her usp now. It totally works for traitors. She probably has a tan from holidays and tops it up. She’s very recognizable and I think she’s stylish. She’s much older than many who are copying her that’s for sure!
