anything specific you want me to ask / report back on?

Is this a message to the person in the other thread then, the one who isn't Justine but is similar to someone on ebay?

What is Aveda?

Do you mind me asking?

I just seem to be asking a lot of questions today.

FrannyandZucchini · 05/06/2008 21:40

LOL
yes cod is a well known poster on here, you will get to know everyone if you stick about
Aveda is a hair salon me and cod were interested in visiting so I know she will want to hear about it

I don't mind you asking at all
I did see you on the other thread and wonder if you were playing at being new to amuse yourself though
there is a kind of amusing mockery to all the questions, it is making me smile

No. I am very sincere. Sorry. But thank you for answering my question as I am aware that I do seem to be asking a lot, and finding that I don't fully understand everything as well as I would like, but I think it will come with time.

FrannyandZucchini · 05/06/2008 22:11

I don't think anyone will mind you asking questions, but you know most people probably either a: hang around for a while reading posts and getting the gist of things for a bit

or b: just jump in and not get worried about not understanding stuff!

I have been here years and come on nearly every day, but I still don't know what everyone is talking about all of the time

I just go for the threads that interest me and ignore the rest - there are so many people, a lot of whom know each other quite well, that there will always be 'private' jokes and conversations going on

it isn't meant to exclude anyone, just what happens in a community like this sometimes

Oh which one - the one on Holborn - the big one?

I used to go there all the time to the head honcho cutter - Vince!

If it is that one, it is a fabby place - really good cutting.

The first time I went he started to cut my hair then said 'I am really sorry but I really need to get someone to sort your eyebrows out before I carry on and whisked me off to get them sorted (and didn't charge) is the scrummy treatment rooms down stairs

They are great for giving you little freebies too

FrannyandZucchini · 05/06/2008 22:17

no it is a local one, never been before
I like the eyebrows thing!

You should try wearing a flowery corsage thingumy in your hair a la Lucinda I think it will suit you.

FrannyandZucchini · 06/06/2008 08:11

so cod are you asking if you can have a colour that will cover up your grey, that is not red and will not go orange in the sun, or should you leave it till the autumn rather than risk it?

I could just print out your post and take it with me, but I think it could get us off to a bad start

FrannyandZucchini · 06/06/2008 08:29

my feet look old and scary
I wonder if they would do it while the colour took?

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 06/06/2008 08:33

ishall be interested what you think

my reckoning is that it is good for hair texture

it doesnt last long

the last time i had it done i didnt have a whole head and i didnt look much different after but he had put his prices up by about 60% and i was mightily hacked

at least one of the shampoos is very good but i cant remember which one

anyway i now do my hair myself every 5 or 6 weeks

i think you will be pleased franny

hope you dont get too uncomfortable

FrannyandZucchini · 06/06/2008 10:40

I'm only having t-zone highlighty things done so doubt the actual hair colour will affect condition of my hair
I would consider getting whole colour done if was not always pg or bf

my back is loads better now, walking and standing much worse so am hoping will be able to relax and read shit magazine

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 06/06/2008 10:42

there is a risk you may think it looks no different after

FrannyandZucchini · 06/06/2008 10:43

no you have to be joking
am paying silly amounts, if it looks no different they will have extremely large hormonal woman on their hands

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 06/06/2008 10:47

thats what put me of the last time when i only had highlights

previously i had a full hair dye and then foils with three colours and it looked lovely

had it done again but they didnt do the full hair and just either one or two shades in foils and you couldnt tell id been

and because of price hike it actually cost more

so i thought sod that
but i am sure yours will be lovely

fishie · 06/06/2008 10:47

my sister has also the allergic scalp and i got her aveda suff which has been fine. they said would refund if it irritated too.

FrannyandZucchini · 06/06/2008 10:49

I am hoping so, it will probably have to last a LONG TIME
don't remember getting to hairdressers till ds was about 6 m o
I will ask them to make it really bright and so on and then will have cause for complaint if can't tell difference
