I’m thinking of blepharoplasty.

Is anyone who has had this surgery happy to post their before and after pictures . My own problem is to me my eyes look deep set and I feel my eye balls pop out . I have had a consultation today and I could have surgery to make them look less deep set . I have very few assets ( flat chest , poorly defined waist , broad back ) that make me feel feminine so this little bit of surgery would likely do my self esteem a bit of good if it goes the way I hope .

To minimise time off work that adds to the cost of having elective surgery I would like to have the surgery over Xmas ( I’m self employed ) but I’m not feeling very supported by the family. Tell me it’s worth it .

I’m thinking of blepharoplasty.

I don't have Instagram @Gervhill

The Cosmetic Skin Clinic has been around for around 20 years and Dr Mountford has won numerous awards for her work.

I know a friend who used them. Dr M isn't taking new clients, and she used to have a 6 month waiting list anyway, but her team are excellent, according to my friend. Many are dual qualified doctors and dentists.

I thought you meant somewhere that offered upper eyelid filler. The one you recommended doesn’t seem to.

Maybe not but they offer a lot of other treatments including eyelid lifts using Ultherapy, Thermage, microneedling etc.

OP I’m not sure you need it yet! I don’t see lots of excess skin above your eye and I wonder if it might make your eyes look a bit hollow. I think your eyes look nice. I had it done about 6 years ago and as you can see from the photos my eyes were terrible! Lots of skin laxity that was only going to get worse over time. I’m in Scotland and paid around £1200 at the time but it will have increased in price now I presume. My plastic surgeon isn’t on social media-she’s kind of old school. I found her through personal recommendations.

You look amazing. Would you share the name of your surgeon? Thanks!

I honestly don't think laser treatments do much. As for microneedling, there was a thread on here a while ago where multiple women said they had been left with very bad scarring. The dots never went away. It was a very sad read.

@Campbellcarrotsoup . One of my concerns too . My eyes do bother me though. I’m hoping to get a less sunken look rather than a more youthful one . I’m only really happy to have my picture taken in sun glasses these days . Sometimes , when I smile I can feel my lids being pressed upon by the lax skin above . Hate it.

I'd love sunken eyes, mine are just heavy, in my limited experience you don't look like your be a good candidate as you have nothing to remove, you have lovely eyes.

Hi . Ive included a snap shot of the letter I received from the clinic . Many of you are right regarding excess skin in that I don’t have a lot of this or fat . It was pointed out to me the operation is mainly about repositioning the crease of my eye lid and less about removing excess skin.

I have tried Botox but I ended up looking spok’ed and felt my brow was very heavy. I didn’t like the result .

Your lovely comments about not really needing this procedure have made me think twice so I will sit on my decision for a few days .

I’ve also added a picture of my eye from my wedding day just 10 years ago. You can see just how much my eye has changed and what I’m hoping effect from the procedure to reposition my eye lid.

I think I prefer your eyes now tbh, perfect for applying eyeshadow.

I had it at Signature Clinic under local. It was fine, eyelids heal quickly due to the type of skin. I'm really glad I had it as I could feel my eyelid skin sometimes due to the folds. It looks more like 'me' now too. I did get two black eyes underneath after a few days which is normal. Otherwise it was fine.

Finding a surgeon who truly gets the aesthetics of deep-set eyes is key. Many people look at specialists in places like Turkey or Mexico who do hundreds of these procedures with great results. If you want to chat about finding a specialist clinic or the costs involved, feel free to PM me.

DoNoTakeNo · 16/10/2025 18:34

A friend had it done recently; she just looks a bit fresher, more awake. She certainly feels more confident in herself.
Do it!!

Hi there, i,m 60, had it done age 45, clinic in Bradford, cost around £3000, small injection in either side eye, surgeon fab, all they do is mark a line then cut out the excess skin, didnt feel a thing, we chatted throughout, can,t imagine i was on the table 15 mins, a few stitches, then hubby and i went off to a hotel for the night, room service and a good nights sleep. Tis really no big deal, so, GO GO GO Girl and have it done.. ( now 15 years on and prob needs doing again BUT have had a rough sleepless last 2 years looking after alzh.dad ) Good luck sweety xxxxx

Bepo77 · 16/10/2025 22:17

It's fairly straightforward, recovery is pretty smooth and it's cheaper than a lot of other procedures! HOWEVER I always advise caution with blepheroplasty - yes, it trims the eyelid skin, but it doesn't bring the eyebrow up. One reason for sagging eyelid skin is due to the eyebrow slowly dropping as we age. Which is why some people look a bit sad and hollow eyed after a bleph alone, and don't get the femininity back they were expecting. If money is no object, I'd get a brow lift + bleph.

Blepharoplasty takes away excess fat/skin, you don’t seem to have any. I think upper eyelid filler would make a huge difference though, check out Dr Joshua on instagram, he has a clinic in London.

I was going to say the same - I’m northern so haven’t seen dr. Joshua yet but he seems very straightforward which I like. Have you seen him yourself?

Yes I have, he’s straightforward and honest in a gentle way. He will refuse treatment if he doesn’t think it’s the right choice or if he feels you’re not ready.

You have lovely pre raphaelite eyes, once considered a thing of beauty! Your eye looks grand to me but am a fan of do whatever it is to make you happy. Just make sure surgery will do that.

I totally agree that the OP has beautiful eyes but I’m interested by your description. What makes them pre raphaelite? Lovely description 😊

SpiralSister · 17/10/2025 08:53

I had mine done because the excess skin was affecting my vision, particularly on one side. I also had fat bulging into the socket (ugh!) Very pleased with the results although recovery was rough for me.

It is, in fact, such a great procedure that I understand all the raving and recommendations on this thread, but honestly OP of the lovely eyes(!) you don’t have the standard issues that upper bleph is designed to fix.

I hope you can find a surgeon who will do what is actually needed and is appropriate for you.

PersephoneParlormaid · 17/10/2025 08:53

I’m also considering this. Lots of people suggesting Signature Clinic on line. Have a look on TikTok, lots of people going to Amsterdam to have it done cheaper.

DrowningInSyrup · 17/10/2025 11:58

Not sure these before and after are very helpful as whilst they look great, your eyes don't look small or sunken, they are a lovely shape. Do you mind if I ask how old you are?
