There are other photos of her from that outing where it looks much more flattering. There are also some of her in the same suit with a white shirt where she looks fabulous.

Although I do always itch to take a few inches off her hair these days.

This is not Kates best look at all - normally she looks fabulous.

Colour is awful and those trousers covering her shoes are grim and remind me of a cheryl cole on xfactor purple trouser debacle.

Is she 5'10"? I thought she was about 5'7-8". Not that it matters.

Kate looks amazing in anything because she's beautiful, but I don't love this odd green as a block colour, or as a trouser suit. I think VB makes great clothes but am nostalgic for Kate in her LK Bennett brights era c. 2012.

That is gorgeous 😍 I would call it henna/ mehndi colour. I do feel it would suit her better with the contrast of dark hair.

Why are VB’s trousers always so bloody long? They are always trailing on the ground. Argh!

I think VB sees this as one of her style signatures. I like a lot of her stuff and if I had the money and liked cake less I would definitely buy some pieces, but those trouser hems just remind me of stilt walkers.

I like what they're trying to do with the cut of the suit and the all over colour, it's sharp and modern.

But not a fan of that shade of green. At all. A deeper olive would have been lovely (on me - she probably needs something cooler).

It is horrible.

I don’t like the colour but she does sort of suit it. However I think she looks horrific. No shape to the suit, the trousers are too long. It’s like the suit is wearing her, perhaps not helped by her heavy hair. It’s all not right on her somehow. Even though someone said “radiant”, I just think the colour makes her look ill & the suit makes her look very frail.

I absolutely love the colour but not for clothing! Maybe a jumper? But primarily I want this colour for my walls 😂😂

I also don’t like the trend to have trousers dragging on the floor. As a long-legged woman, trousers that are too short look dreadful but overly long trousers look just as bad. It reminds me of a kid playing dress-up in their mum’s clothes 😂😂

Catherine always looks elegant and she can carry off this look, but it’s not my favourite.

I actually think that this chartreuse green looks good on very few people and she isn't one of them! (Generally think that she does this semi-formal look pretty well)

If mine had worn a fab designer trouser suit on their salary, I'd have been well impressed.

My 70s Geography teacher wore orange cordouroy pinafores and big platform shoes. She was fab.

I think she looks great. Trouser suits are a modern, professional look and it's a well cut suit. I love the colour. It doesn't remind me of any kind of digestive products at all.
