Is this dress too much for a 50 year old?

I'm a size 12. Not especially busty. I'm just nit sure if the lacy bit around the badice is a bit much for an old bird like me...
Thoughts please

I'm 59 and would wear it. That shape suits me and the lace is very subtle.

Anything I wouldn't wear at my grand old age is only because I don't like it or it doesn't suit me.

Im older than you and would wear this.

I think it’s a fabulous elegant dress. Go for it

I love the dress

OneNewLeader · 06/10/2025 20:29

I think it’s really nice and I like the shoes. I’d probably wear a skin tone body suit under it. Largely because I’d worry I’d be cold

I’m nearly 57 and would wear it.
(but age has nothing to do with it - wear what ever you love and looks good on you 😍)

It will show the middle part of your bra and that's generally not a good look whatever your age. Apart from that, it's a beautiful dress.

For what occasion? I'm not sure I'd consider anyone too old. It's possible to have a body shape where people might think it was ill advised but if you like how it looks on you then go for it.

As PP said you could wear something beneath if you didn't want flesh showing through.

That was super nicely said.
I can imagine a little old granny in it, as long as she still had curves.

The picture suggests wistful, sprightly, sexy. Age 75+ can be all that.
