DO NOT buy from them - wasting money

I want to say that I bought a pair of shoes from Chloe and Liam, and compared to the photos on their website, they’re completely different. The photos on the website looked high-quality, but the actual pair I received was even worse than Temu or Shein. I’ve attached photos as proof — everyone, please take this as a warning! It’s outrageous, and there’s no way to return or get a refund. They’ll try to “compensate” you with various offers like coupons, but in the end you still can’t get a refund. It’s just a huge waste of time! Please, DO NOT buy from them.

You are entitled to a refunds by law.

14 day cooling if period, and The Trades Description act as they were not as advertised.

Don’t back down. Just threaten small claims court. They’ll stump up then.

Chloe and Liam shoes - has anyone bought from them? - https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/style_and_beauty/5363987-chloe-and-liam-shoes-has-anyone-bought-from-them

Thread from June. They are a fake drop shipping site.

Oh ha ha. They are a fake drop shipping site. They couldn't care less about getting a small court judgement against them. They're based goodness only knows where, so good luck with enforcing it.

They'll probably disappear in a few weeks.

I've never heard of Chloe and Liam, but it's no different to buying a pair of shoes from a random overseas shipper on eBay or Amazon. Anyone can build a nice looking website and use photoshop. I'd see this as a £60 lesson in how to shop on the internet. On the plus side, you won't do it again.

IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle · 23/09/2025 17:14

Google lens shows those shoes were available in 2024 from AliExpress and Temu.

Google lens also shows they are available from several other equally dodgy sites, although for present purposes I'm not including AliExpress and Temu in the dodgy category as they at least would have sold them at the price they were worth and are upfront about being Chinese tat.

The link below is as dodgy and fake as "Chloe and Liam"

Unfortunately this is why you should always check independent reviews before buying from somewhere new!

TwelvePercent · 23/09/2025 17:16

Did you buy on credit card OP?
You may be able to put in a claim if you've evidence that you tried to return without success?

You don't even need to do that.

Red flags are.

  1. Piles of meaningless guff in the "about us" section but no hard facts
  2. Loads of generic photos which are stock photos and obviously fake store fronts [Google lens will confirm this in one click]
  3. Everything is on sale at massive reductions.
  4. Vast amount of stock available in vast amount of sizes and colour ranges.
  5. Google lens any item and it will be available on dozens of similar sites, of which Temu, Shein and AliExpress are actually the only genuine sellers [again Google lens will confirm this in 1 click]

I never buy without checking Trustpilot.

Nice shoes though (if they existed)!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 23/09/2025 18:36

You can get help from your bank if you’ve paid on a debit card.

They should refund you. As would PayPal.

Both pairs look awful.

padso · 23/09/2025 19:21

Is it just me that thinks they look like the photo? They look like fake leather on the website photo.

MadisonMarieParksValetta · 23/09/2025 19:33

They look like the photo to me 🤣

CurlyFerret · 23/09/2025 20:59

Agree with @TwelvePercent if you paid on a credit card you should be able to claim. I had a similar experience (different website) and had to show evidence of trying to contact for a refund but CC company refunded in the end.
