Not to my taste.
Though I went to the shops recently and noticed leopard print is back in. I always think it looks tacky.

HannahHamptonsGloves · 11/09/2025 15:49

For me it's that it's not a proper leopard print - I love leopard, but this ain't it. I do agree with the poster who said it's a bit nana-ish. I do like a bit of fluffy/borg.

Edited to add - Asda have this https://direct.asda.com/george/women/sweatshirts-hoodies/animal-funnel-neck-zip-through-borg-fleece/GEM1316168,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M1G20C28

Thank you.

With people saying it I can see that it’s not proper leopard print.

I wasn’t really on the lookout for a leopard jacket but now I do fancy finding a nice one.

I don’t want anything posh though, I like casual stuff that I can wear with leggings and trainers to go on school run/walk/cinema.

I just googled leopard print borg jacket - there are loads out there at the moment.

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 11/09/2025 16:10

I really like it @Luckycharm13. It’s a lot nicer than the cow print one and nicer thsm the plain beige one you posted. I was looking at a jacket on Next yesterday which was a reversible leopard print Borg on one side and black on the other, but I that was quite expensive, around £80 and I probably prefer the one you’ve posted. Something I would definitely wear and thankfully people round here wouldn’t look down on me for it. And for the poster who said one step away from wolf print, I disagree. Next also have a slim fitting leopard print fleece in their exercise wear.

polkadothorse · 11/09/2025 16:13

It’s a bit Pauline from down the market.
Agree with PP that it’s akin to a wolf fleece.

Purplecatshopaholic · 11/09/2025 16:16

If you love it op, get it and wear with pride. I love leopard print but it’s not that really, as other have said, more cow print (which is fine too of course). It’s a fleece top to me, not really a jacket as such, but again if you like it go for it.

Luckycharm13 · 11/09/2025 16:21

I’ve gone off it because as people have pointed out, it isn’t really leopard print.

I’ll keep looking, if anyone has seen a nice borg or leopard jacket please link. I think the Asda one @HannahHamptonsGloveslinked looks ok.

I’ve no idea what a wolf fleece is but you have all made me laugh.

It’s actually sold out online so I wonder whether a load will end up in Vinted with buyers regret.

I’m a bit taken aback at the person who said I’d be looked down on. I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever looked down on anyone for a fleece, is that a thing? 🤣

I love the pattern and the shape but not the fleece fabric.

If you are set on leopard print, how about this.

I wouldn't look down on you no matter what you wore, even if not to my taste.

ErrolTheDragon · 11/09/2025 16:53

I don’t like the jacket but the idea of a Teddy Borg is irresistible.

Lifelover16 · 11/09/2025 16:57

Not for me.
One step (or paw print) away from a wolf picture fleece.
But if you like it, that’s what matters.

Luckycharm13 · 11/09/2025 15:42

Are people against leopard print coats in general?

Or is it the Leopard/fleece combo?

Or is it that it’s not a proper leopard pattern?

For me, it's the fact that the print doesn't really look like leopard, and also the fleecy fabric just isn't my thing.

I think leopard print either needs to be on a completely non-furry fabric so it doesn't look like it's imitating fur, or on a fake fur that actually does look like fur, rather than the fleecy/Borg fabric that doesn't look like any actual big cat's fur. But as I said - I think this particularly print is a really shoddy attempt at leopard anyway.

Leopard print coats in general are fucking awesome. I love proper Pat Butcher/Bet Lynch faux fur leopard coats and I love mac style coats in dark leopard prints too. I'm a huge leopard print lover.

Although I wouldn't buy the coat you've shared, I'd like to be clear that I wouldn't 'look down on' you for wearing it. Because, y'know, I'm not a total cunt.

I do quite like this one, @Luckycharm13

tartyflette · 11/09/2025 17:12

It's fine for very casual wear in very cold weather. Apart from that, no.

MyCrushWithEyeliner · 11/09/2025 17:15

If someone looks down on you for what you’re wearing are they worth knowing?

Nicksschiffon · 11/09/2025 17:17

I think anything leopard print will date quickly and I hate to say that because it's my favourite pattern ever. Borg in general really only suits tall thin women, otherwise they look untidy I think.

Teanandtoast · 11/09/2025 17:18

I LOVE IT!

Ruthietuthie · 11/09/2025 17:29

Good God, woman. That's DREADFUL. Hideous in every way.

henlake7 · 11/09/2025 17:29

idk, I dont mind a borg coat and I dont mind a leopard print coat (I have both!) but for some reason I just dont like the idea of a borg leopard print!
Im not a big fan of thick faux fur leopard print either. I think its such a busy pattern that its abit too much with a chunky fabric as well (my leopard print jacket is a very short pile, kinda like an actual leopard).

Having said that if its just something cosy to chuck to walk the dog then all bets are off!

Love this! Miles apart from the rocky road concoction.
