I always imagine mumsnetters on S&B being quite well to do and dressing like Princess Kate, because where I live all the school mums wear Borg jackets in the Autumn.

But the replies usually help me decide if I do really want the item.

I did get saved from buying a really disgusting coat once which would have been a big mistake. The replies were hilarious.

FWIW. I like Borg jackets. I think leopard print really suits me a lot.

I like the leopard / fleece combo - I have a flower / fleece combo so maybe it's just up my street.

I don’t like Borg fabric and although I absolutely LOVE leopard print, I think that’s a really bad example of it and doesn’t actually look like leopard print at all. More like giraffe or cow print.

However, if you love it, bloody well buy it and enjoy it! My views on it don’t matter one jot and life is short. People should wear whatever makes them happy, not fret about what other people think (or what other people wear). I’m confident you’d probably loathe a lot of my clothes so if you like the cosy jacket, buy the cosy jacket.

I like it! I saw it in store last week and it looked lovely and cosy. I’d probably only wear in the house or when its freezing outside but its really not that out there/ offensive.

Its not expensive so if you like it then get it.
Not for me though, I do have a couple of fleece jackets from Joanie but in dark colours. I find that light colours and patterns do tend to look cheap once they go all bobbly (and they always go bobbly, dark colours just hide it better!).

Haha, I always think the same about Mumsnetters dressing like Princess Kate.

Any threads about wedding guest attire or office-appropriate clothing, in particular, makes me imagine an army of furious Mumsnetters in court shoes, jewel-toned a-line coat dresses and bouncy blow-dries, all clutching their pearls at anyone who goes to a wedding in a jumpsuit or wears Doc Martens at work. Kids all in Boden, teens in Jack Wills, not a supermarket branded Paw Patrol t-shirt, Adidas hoodie or Primark crop top in sight.

I actually quite like that one! I wouldn’t wear it myself but I’d think it was nice on the right person.
