Can't remember this perfect jeans brand of the late 90s

I really hope someone will remember this brand because it's been driving me insane for the last 2 years...

DD is really into Vinted late 90s early 2000s brands and I keep trying and failing to remember the best jeans brand of that time (IMO)! The were probably the first post Levis 'designer' denim brand - maybe a year or two before 7 for all mankind - and they did the most perfect slightly low rise hip-sitting slim to straight dark-ish denim jeans for women with a very minimal V on the back pocket and barely any other branding. Can anyone remember? I'm tempted to look for a pair myself!

I just sold a pair of gorgeous gold Miss sixty jeans on vinted that I bought in 2000 and they were in perfect condition. Found them in the loft and decided someone else should enjoy them seeing as I'm 2 stone heavier now 😭

Earl or Evisu. I still have multiple pairs of both think I could maybe squeeze an arm into them now!

Yeah, Earl. What happened to them? That was definitely the original era of ‘jeans and nice top.’

I don’t know but you’ve given me a flashback to a brand I remember in Etam and elsewhere that suddenly everyone was wearing that had a label with a woman on it and the words “Oh what shall I wear!”. Might’ve been 80s. Totally forgot that till now and suddenly nostalgic.

I had some Paper Denim Cloth jeans - the fabric was lovely. I think mine were kind of low slung . I can't remember whether they had a v on the pocket though.

Diesel, Pepe or Lee were my first thoughts.

I had some amazing black jeans in a perfect size 9 in the 90s. They were by a woman designer but I cannot remember her name at all. I got them in some kind of outlet store for about £10. Ah, the nostalgia.

I loved Earl jeans. Have probably still got them in my loft. If only they would fit!

7 for all mankind. Loved mine. They were expensive and I remember being chuffed after saving up for a pair. Pepe was more 80's I think, I definitely had Pepe jeans in the 80's.
