@BakeOffRewatch I went wild in the aisles. I got a skincare kit, a BB cream and something else, and then got showered with freebies. I think I spent about £100 but got about £50 of stuff on top.

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I love Caudalie too. The soufflé moisturiser is a dream.

OvaHere · 30/09/2025 23:10

@JoRaRaRa I haven't used the CB AC Patrick Ta blush yet, I've been good and put it in my SNK calendar along with other bits to replace the things I sold.

The Patrick Ta eyeshadows are beautiful. I already have the pink duo I'm With Her from the first launch. With a light touch they can be quite subtle or you can really build them up. I think they're good for travel - a mini Natasha Denona palette with some mattes then the Patrick Ta duo doesn't take up much space but you can get quite a bit of variety.

Which shades did you pick this time? That would be a good idea to take them on city breaks etc. The pink and red dior one is probably small enough for city breaks (it's a 5 shade one) but I think I need a pa duo one as that's even smaller 😀

I just couldn't wait to start using the blush 🤣 I also bought an hourglass lipstick in foxglove to replace the ruby woo in harrods ac but I also couldn't wait and started using it immediately 😇

I bought Slow Burn and I would also like Always On Your Mind. If I'm still thinking about that one in a couple of weeks I might get it.

Those are the 2 I'd go for too 😍

Reading this I’ve just remembered that I have a little Patrick Ta set which I got in beauty edit with some other things, I think it was from Look Fantastic. I bought it specifically for the PT stuff but it got shoved away and forgotten about (along with a Boots beauty edit!)

Isabelle70 · 01/10/2025 05:03

@IlovePond yes, she started mixing based on what I asked for, my lip colour but better. She continued to mix adding in pigments whilst I tried each variation. My lipstick had 6 of the 10 pigments and my Dd had 5. I must have tried about 5 variations until settling on the one.
I was really pleased with the colour and process as you could spend the cost on a few lipsticks trying to get the right one.

Ooo you need to find it and start using it 😊

IlovePond · 01/10/2025 07:07

Thanks @Isabelle70 - it sounds like a fun thing to do.

My current favourite products are the Dr Dennis Gross Daily peels, I only use them once or twice a week and the Then I Met You cleansing balm is my favourite, I keep on trying others but keep coming back to this one.
I also love the Bioeffect EGF Serum but not the price tag so switch between those and peptides in my evening routine.

For makeup I love the new Dior Matte blushes and the eye palette in the Lancôme set (Cafe Idole) is the one I seem to always reach for. Nothing can beat the Hourglass unlocked mascara for me and the BK Beauty concealer brush works miracles.

I've been wanting to try the Dr Dennis gross peels for a while. I saw them on tkmaxx and by the time I'd realised that they're a must purchase, they'd sold out 😕 but now I refuse to pay full price for them.
Good to hear about the then I met you balm, that was one of the products that I kept from the SNK calendar, once I get through my eve lom stash, I'll be moving onto that 😀
I agree with the Bioeffect serum, I've had quite a few bottles of it now, luckily I've only had to pay full price for 1 of them, I keep managing to get it in edits, most recently the vieve one from CB that was an absolute steal!
Also now agree about hourglass mascara, I didn't like it at first but had soooo many minis, I took one on holiday and now I love it. Also good to hear about the lancome palette as I ordered the holiday set for myself for Christmas and that comes with the set. What is BK? I can't think what brand that could be.

Doubleraspberry · 01/10/2025 08:32

Also an Hourglass mascara fan here. I’ve got one mini that has lasted ages.

I buy a lot of edits and beauty boxes so have never paid full price for any skin care as never loved something enough to pay full price, I may have bought 4 CB edits with the EGF in so I have a stash to see me through 2026 and bought 2 Space NK for the Medik8 and TIMY.
I am very good at listing and selling things on.

The brand is called BK Beauty, the make up people generally have a code, Morgan Turner, Nina Ubhi, Nikki La Rose etc and think they did 20% for Black Friday last year.

The BK Beauty Angie Hot and Flashy travel set is a really good one as a starting point. I got one for my birthday. The case stands up on it's own and it has a selection of some of the best shapes. As @MrsBnow12 says the concealer brush is particularly good. Try and wait for sales though as shipping to the UK adds quite a bit.

I'd like the Nikki La Rose sets, there was a new one launched recently but it sold out immediately.

Liberty Loyalty voucher arrived today. Impressively I have £30 plus the current £40 in BD vouchers (soon to be £60 I assume). Went to look at the BAC again but I don't want it enough even discounted.

Holding out for some good autumn edits from Liberty.

Same here @OvaHere i loved the trinny kit I got from them so hoping for edits from liberty and CB

TragicMuse · 01/10/2025 13:23

I’m a Trinny devotee! Love the cleanser, moisturisers and treatments! The only think that didn’t really suit was the serum and u have Medik8 for that!

I’m in the market for a new mascara - if the Hourglass one is good I might get it this weekend with my £10 voucher from SNK…

Arrearing50 · 01/10/2025 13:32

hourglass mascaras are good - I feel as though mascara is a product that has really improved in the last 10 years.

Doubleraspberry · 01/10/2025 13:32

Hourglass have one tubing mascara and one not. Mine's the non-tubing. So just check which you're getting to your own preference.

TragicMuse · 01/10/2025 14:28

I don’t know the difference between the two! I must educate myself!

MrsBnow12 · 01/10/2025 14:34

I believe the Hourglass Unlocked is the tubing one and the Caution is the ‘normal’ one.

Noshadelamp · 01/10/2025 14:53

I got the Good Intent Ultimate Skincare Icons Gift Set last week when I think @OvaHere shared a 25% discount code.
It's really cute and such good value, even at the regular price of £15.95
The case is handy, and the products are bigger than I expected for trial sizes.

There's 10% off at the moment, they have other sets as well if you want to try any of the Good Intent products.
