Bikini waxing - out of touch

I haven’t had a bikini wax since I gave birth to my eldest daughter (now 15). I can’t remember what I had done.
I pretty much want everything off apart from a landing strip/small triangle- what do I even ask
for? Sorry, silly question I know.
Does a full bikini wax tend to include underneath too? Again- sorry!!

Do people still get a Hollywood if they have piles? I’ve had piles since giving birth and it’s stopped me going - its not pretty!

Wow rude much. I’m 48 never once done anything to my hair down there and it’s just fine. Only thing you have to worry about is in a bikini making sure nothing sneaks out but at my age that doesn’t happen often.

I only get the edges done, can't bear the undercarriage bit being waxed it's so painful and embarrassing!

Definitely make sure they do intimate waxing. I whipped my knickers off at a new recommended place and was ready for a Hollywood only to be told “we don’t do THAT sort of thing here”. I was mortified. She covered me, did the sides and I never went back. It still pops into my head sometimes in the night …

I’m sure the strimmer comment was said in fun. The OP didn’t say she was worried about anything, she asked for some factual waxing responses. The waxing was something she had chosen to do.

I’m in my 50s too. I’ve been all off since my later teens. l find it more comfortable, particularly in the warm weather but nobody is forced to have a wax.

Regrowth after a waxing is much softer.

Ewww I’m sorry but that’s just disgusting, the 80s bush went out of fashion years ago and with good reason! There is no excuse to not be somewhat groomed down there these days

I doubt she was, the person who is offended seems to be the person who mentioned they did nothing down there. I assume it’s a little insecurity on their part

There is absolutely nothing disgusting about body hair. Have you forgotten that humans are mammals? Please don’t attempt to shame women for having body hair- or do you do it to men too?

What other people do with their body hair is not your concern. I really hope you don’t have daughters though- what an awful attitude.

I can’t remember when I last removed hair from my bikini line (let alone having a Brazilian)- and guess what? I don’t need an ‘excuse’. But if I do, my excuse is: ‘I don’t want to’.

It affects precisely nobody since the only person who sees it is my husband, and he certainly doesn’t care. He is able to find me sexually attractive in my natural state. 🥰

I think anything beyond basic bikini involves a bum wax nowadays start off on knees bum in the air finish in the classical cervical screening pose. I just tidy up the sides myself as I can not bring myself to do it. It’s very standard though.

You what? Can you explain why having perfectly natural and well evolved hair is ‘disgusting’? Removing or not removing it is a choice. Both valid and without need of that kind of weird, extreme judgement

As I’ve got older my pubic hair has got less and less. I had a Hollywood yesterday ready for my holiday and I was in and out within 10 mins. My beautician was brilliant, used strip wax and was calm and efficient. She had advised me to trim down beforehand which I did, and whilst it wasn’t pain free there was certainly minimal discomfort compared to when I’d previously had hot wax.

Sorry to jump on this thread. I normally shave it all off, but if I’ve want it waxed how long should I leave it to grow out?

My therapist said they only need a centimetre for waxing.
