As in title, preferably not too expensive and not matte. I've been told Maybelline fit me is good.

Do I need a powder over it?

Or maybe a tinted moisturiser with spf?

I use Eborian CC Creme which does what you’re looking for.

gardeningwoes · 17/07/2025 20:02

I’ve got a Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser that does exactly this. I love it!

Audiprettier · 17/07/2025 20:05

IL MAKIAGE!!

thetorturedpoetsdepartmentssecretary · 17/07/2025 20:24

Thanks, I'll check them out.

L’Oréal nude plumping tinted serum👌🏼

ncduetooutingsituation · 17/07/2025 20:28

Il Makiage here too.

Ribenaberry12 · 17/07/2025 20:28

Nivea tinted moisturiser is good. Gives a nice glow.

I get it! Me too...
Whatever happened to 'Foundation'! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Platypusdiver · 17/07/2025 20:33

I heard Chanel les beiges water-fresh tint does this. I have sneakily smeared it on when going through duty free on holiday.

Has anyone else tried it?

Otherwise, the closest i have got to the bare-skin-like foundation is a very light layer of l'oreal true match. Sometimes i mix it with some shimmer stuff and moisturiser. I also put it on with a brush. That makes it lighter too.

Audiprettier · 17/07/2025 20:38

Had to check it out...

It's a simplified French word for Makeup (Maquillage) apparently!

You're welcome 🤭

thetorturedpoetsdepartmentssecretary · 17/07/2025 20:38

Thank you.

Which one do you use? There seem to be so many and they're quite expensive so I don't want to buy the wrong one. I can't get to a store to try it out, so I'm trying to work out which shade using chatgp.

I found il Makiage to be incredibly drying

Iwontlethtesungodownonme · 18/07/2025 14:27

If you don't want colour I'm wondering if a blurring primer would do what you wanted.
Disclaimer, I am mostly hopeless with makeup.

itsnotagameshow · 18/07/2025 14:31

Another vote for Erborian CC cream here, it makes you look rested when you're not and seems to magically smooth out imperfections (goes on white and then matches your skin tone).

cheesypeas123 · 18/07/2025 14:36

I’m in the minority with Erborian - I’m fair to light skin tone and the lightest shade Clair turned a very unflattering pinky orange on me 😔 I prefer Laura Mercier - I use the oil free but regular sounds like would be better for you or Tinted by Aimee hydra tint with lots of different shades to suit all skin tones.

stayathomer · 18/07/2025 14:37

What age are you op? And do you use a primer?

HippoStraw · 18/07/2025 14:38

I love Erborian BB cream. It’s the best I’ve tried. Good coverage and non cakey.

another that didn’t get on with Erborian, I’m an outlier on mn, I hated it cosmetics too!

HippoStraw · 18/07/2025 14:42

Actually I think it’s the Super BB I have. Fuller coverage. I don’t have to think about it anymore, just put it on a forget it. Worth a try if you can find a tester or get a sample.

I don't use anything at the moment. I'm 59.

Same erborian didn’t work for my colouring and I hate the texture of it cosmetics.

thetorturedpoetsdepartmentssecretary · 18/07/2025 15:36

I've ordered a sample of Eborian CC cream, but not feeling too hopeful after the comments on here.
