Hello, I have this Dress & it's just perfect for me in every way.
I have major body issues & I never feel like I look nice in anything, but this dress, I did.

I wore a Cream Cardigan with it, it has a frill pattern along the edge that matches the detail round the neckline.

The problem : I had one specific event to wear the dress to (which I did) & the next one is in October so I'm worried that I may need more warmth.

I contacted a Dress alteration service & she quoted £150 to add sleeves to my dress (I can't afford that)

So : I'm looking for the exact same dress with sleeves Grin no more than £30 ideally.

Or something very, very similar, has to be a dark colour for this event. Black (I don't like Black but I will go with it) Navy, possibly Burgundy/Emerald Green type colour. Very little/no pattern. Knee length.

Size 16.

Yes, Londonmummy66 Somebody mentioned them up thread, I didn't realise that they existed before.

I swear by them (and black safety pins to keep everything in place).

Londonmummy66 How did I not know that coloured safety pins were a thing either!!! That's blown my mindGrin

So many dresses where I've pinned them & had to try to hide the silver pin in a ruffle/pattern etc.

BUMPING!

I bought a standard long sleeved T-Shirt type top to wear underneath. It's light so won't spoil the shape of the dress, but an extra layer of warmth for me.

New question!

Navy tights? With Black boots?

Black tights? With Black boots?

Something else? Grey?

I wore Navy tights with Black boots last time but the tights were a much lighter Blue than Navy & I didn't love them.

I'd go for black tights with black boots - no need to worry about tying the colours in then.

Thank you Londonmummy66 You are right I think!

I saw a lovely pair of Grey shoes on eBay & that gave me a wobble!

Just as an update, I wore the dress with the long sleeved Navy top underneath & found some actual Navy tights last minute too. Everything looked perfectly matching & I had 2 people ask where I got the dress from. I went with my Black boots as they are comfortable.

I was lovely & warm for the whole day, Only added the cardi for the last hour or so.

Thanks everybodySmile
