Blue Wedding Guest Dress

I've been asked to wear blue at my friend's wedding and really struggling to find a nice occasion dress!

I am short, slim and woud prefer not bodycon if possible.

Has anyone seen anything really special?

@Happymover , apparently so.

Obviously there are exceptions but it seems that those who want a perfect wedding seem to have less than perfect marriages.

What happens if guests can't or won't wear what is instructed?

Are they sent home.

Apologies, I’m rubbish at attaching links, here’s the explanation of “Something Blue” for the Bride.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

There's a tradition in some cultures that every bride must have each of these 4 things on their wedding day (sometimes also coupled with "a sixpence in her shoe"). With some light research, it seems that the something old is meant to be a tie to the past and ancestors, something new is optimism for the couple's future, something borrowed brings goodwill from someone close to you - and I think I read that it should be borrowed from another happily married woman to spread happy marriage feelings, and something blue represents love, purity, and fidelity and is meant to ward off "the Evil Eye".
I thought this might be a cute thread and could give brides ideas - so if you are doing these, share what you're somethings are! Mine:
Something old - a clutch purse made by my mother from the fabric of her wedding dress
Something new - my wedding dress
Something borrowed - a pearl bracelet from one of my married bridesmaids
Something blue - my bridesmaids! (sky blue dresses)

She sounds tiresome. I would just ask not to be in the photos. I judge people who think weddings are just about the photos.

That said, I really like blue as it suits me and would have no problem finding a blue outfit. I like loads of the dresses already posted on this thread.

I stuck to this at my wedding -- 25 years ago! I borrwed an antique bracelet, I can't remember my blue, or old, but had new jewellery....

Best grab it quick - only limited sizes left. Regular has a size 6. I tried it on last week. It is fabulous I would say its not maxi (which I would have preferred) - so dont thik you will look like a bridesmaid. Also accessorize with orange / green shoes etc to move away from bridesmaid look

What's the budget OP? I had the exact same situation at a wedding I just attended this weekend. I love blue but on being told I had to wear, I then couldn't find anything I liked! I tried and return about 10 dresses.
