I've been asked to wear blue at my friend's wedding and really struggling to find a nice occasion dress!

I am short, slim and woud prefer not bodycon if possible.

I think it's so rude to force people to buy new clothes in a specific colour they may not want to wear again.

Oh, that is so pretty! I don't have a wedding to go to and can't justify spending that on a dress (and am not petite 😄), but I'm drooling over the colours and pattern.

I’ve reached my 70’s and every day is still a school day. I’ve never come across this till this thread. The bride can request the guests to wear a particular colour and folk feel obliged to go along with it? 😳

I love a mumsnet wedding thread. Mumsnetters have a lot of unreasonable friends and families who prioritise Instagram photo shoots over everything else when they get married.
