Can't beat a beautiful diamond but I also love Aquamarine and emerald. What about you?

I love opals but they're too bloody fragile for me. If it can't cope with everyday life, I'm not wearing it because I'll be all sad when it gets hurt. Some of the newer opalite (fake opal) looks good and is supposedly robust. I might try some out if I see a good deal.

Two other materials I wish were tougher: larimar and apatite. I find them both gorgeous to look at, and larimar feels feels really nice. But they're both very soft.

At another point on the scale: red corundum (lab-grown ruby). I just love the rich, even colours - and can afford it! I make gemstone jewellery at the £100-ish level. Corundum and CZ are the only man-made stones I'll use ... to date; they're getting better and more accessible all the time.

I've always been attracted to aquamarine, and it pisses me off that it's my birthstone 😂

I have a beautiful aquamarine engagement ring. My absolute favourite. Had it for 24 years

Love Morganite with rose gold settings. Subtle and gentle on the skin tone.

Aquamarine. I have a newly-acquired aquamarine ring, and I just love how it changes colour with the light, just like blue eyes or the ocean. I can’t stop looking at it.
