Help! Love this dress, but it's not fitting right on top!

Hi everyone,

I recently found this gorgeous midi dress (see pic), and I love the style, colour, and everything! However, I'm having a bit of a dilemma. It doesn't seem to fit perfectly from the top
Is there anything I can do to make it fit better, like maybe a specific type of bra or some tailoring tricks? Or should I just give up on this dress ?

Thanks

I like it as it is.

I like the dress. You have a fabulous feminine figure and a beautiful skin tone. I agree with pp however that possibly a size up and a lovely white tshirt underneath would elevate it.

Yep, a bra is needed. I see so many pretty dresses like this, but with those awful thin straps. I hate having my bra on show, why don’t they make the straps wider? You don’t always want to put a t shirt underneath. Many a lovely dress has remained unbought due to this.

Nope, it’s not right for you. You’ll have a better shape with a good bra on. The colours aren’t doing anything for you, the cut of the skirt isn’t right on you either.

According to you. I think it suits the OP very well. The colours look great on her.

I couldn’t agree more! Like you, I don’t like my bra showing. That was the whole dilemma. As someone mentioned earlier and my experience is that strapless bras aren’t very comfortable, which defeats the purpose of wearing the dress. Thanks for comment anyway
