It’s lighter in the sun and darker when there’s no much light. I think it’s not blonde but definitely not brown

Auburn

it has a lot of red tones and is not brown

Sandysandyfeet · 28/05/2025 07:02

first pic - light brown with some fairer streaks. I don’t understand how people can say that is blonde unless the meaning of the word has changed. Blonde hair is defined by lack of dark pigment. It has a yellowness, not a brown-ness. Second pic looks more like a dark blonde.

CubanTody · 28/05/2025 09:03

It's a golden dark blonde, level 7.

I think people are so used to 'blonde' being bleached/highlighted to a very light and very yellow shade that anything darker they think is brown.

I was thinking this.

It’s only brown if your reference point for blonde is bottle blonde or possibly a sort of Scandinavian “white” blonde that toddlers and children sometimes have.

To me it’s a honey blonde.

Never mind the colour, how do you get it so shiny?

lightslittle · 28/05/2025 09:32

Dark blonde. But I think you’d be referred to as brown, more than you would blonde if someone was giving a passing description

Jasmin71 · 28/05/2025 10:09

Warm level 7. Light brown/ Dark blond.

AmberMae · 28/05/2025 12:35

Medium brown with red undertones

ICantBeDoingWithThat · 28/05/2025 12:43

Dark blonde. My hair was that colour when young. Now old, it has gone naturally ashy blonde. (For which i am extremely thankful).

I had no expectations 😃 I asked just out of curiosity because I saw a similar post. When people refereed to the color of my hair, they often used the word “golden,” but I’ve never heard anyone say “brown.” Just wanted to check.

This is so interesting! Scandinavian blonde (natural) is exactly my reference point, and used to be everyone else’s. Natural blonde, as a pp said, occurs when there’s an absence of pigment.

Possibly some of the shades people are describing are vanity shades for people with mid colour hair because it used to be desirable to be blonde.

I do agree the OP’s (beautiful) hair looks golden, but I’d say golden brown, not golden blonde.

mathanxiety · 28/05/2025 14:45

Honey blonde.
