Does this wedding guest dress flatter me?

I'm just taking a second look at the photos and doubting myself, I have no confidence in how I look in dresses! Side note, would you wear tights/stockings?

TIA

Whole outfit looks great! I think the shoes match well with the dress, Imo the traditional silver sandals are on the way out now. Also would go with bare legs. Sally Hanson leg tan is great.

Hallywally · 11/05/2025 19:27

Looks amazing! You have such a lovely hourglass figure.

RockaLock · 11/05/2025 21:03

That’s a lovely dress and it looks great on you.

i personally wouldn’t bother buying a new pair of shoes for a one-off occasion, unless you think you’ll wear them loads - it’s such a waste and I’d rather save my money for something I’ll wear all the time. And as PPs have said, no one will notice your shoes at all. They are fine.

I am always surprised at the vitriol that nude tights get. Maybe some PPs have never had a decent pair. If you get a good quality, very sheer pair, in the right shade, then they just even out the colour on your legs and generally make them look much better, without looking as though you are wearing any tights at all. With the added bonus that they help stop your shoes rubbing or feeling all sweaty - I hate the feeling of leather shoes directly against my bare feet Envy

You just need to stand a bit better, stand up tall and have one leg straight in front of the other. It will give you far more confidence.

The dress is fabulous! Great colour. Love it.

Hoppinggreen · 11/05/2025 21:07

Very nice
Boobs look fab!

isitme111 · 11/05/2025 21:15

Dress looks lovely on you, I think the shoes go well also. I would add tights or fake tan depending on the weather.

wizzler · 11/05/2025 22:02

Dress looks fabulous!

minipie · 11/05/2025 22:07

Lovely on you

Shoes go fine IMO

Tights or not - up to you, decide based on the weather! I wear sheer tights if it looks chilly.

Agree with adding a necklace of some sort

Fatrosrhun · 11/05/2025 22:08

It looks fabulous on you. Tights, for me, would depend on whether the fabric clings to the tights, meaning that you need an underskirt etc. Also limits the shoes. Sandals and painted tonaila are nice. There are lots of great fake tans nowadays.

minnienono · 11/05/2025 22:08

Perfect and yes to tights, personally I buy the ones that smooth out lumps and bumps. Lovely colour for a wedding

Ddakji · 11/05/2025 22:10

Love the dress on you and I think the shoes work well. I would wear sheer nude rights myself but I can’t wear shoes like that without something on my feet.

Comedycook · 11/05/2025 17:42

Dress is really nice and suits you. I wouldn't bother with tights but if I did, yes, sheer, nude ones.

I think the shoes are a bit drab and bring the outfit down a little...but that's only if I'm being very fussy . They don't look bad.

Agree with this. Shoes being the outfit down a bit. Dress is really flattering on you.

Tbrh · 12/05/2025 01:41

You look great. If it's hot enough, I'd do bare legs and some silver or gold strappy heels

foreverblowingbubbless · 12/05/2025 02:06

The dress is great but the shoes are too plain for it. They are understated and look too similar to your leg colour. How about something like these ?

LivingLaVidaBabyShower · 12/05/2025 04:26

Very honestly the dress looks better on you than the model...

Def keep and def find more occasions to wear it

MiaN · 12/05/2025 05:20

Love the look for wedding guest, looks great on you

Defrump · 12/05/2025 06:48

I love the dress, you have a fab figure and the shoes look good
Top marks
Don't go faffing about looking for other footwear

CelebrateAndDream · 12/05/2025 07:21

This looks gorgeous on you OP…I have the same dress for a wedding too and will be wearing it with silver strappy block heels, a silver clutch and a fine, silver jewellery. I think anything too ‘clunky’ takes away from the dress itself which is the ‘main event’ 😍

I will be fake tanning my legs 👌🏻

BarneyRonson · 12/05/2025 13:59

You look gorgeous! Nobody will be scrutinising your footwear, which is fine!

Appleblum · 12/05/2025 14:19

You look lovely in the dress! I would change the shoes and necklace to a deep red.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 12/05/2025 15:47

Dress is lovely, shoes are fine.
Unless you're "too table" no need to stand out, no need for new shoes.

BirthdeighParteigh · 12/05/2025 16:17

Looks great, and the shoes are just fine.

FlowerSkirt · 12/05/2025 16:43

Love the dress.

I am afraid I dislike the shoes. Too bland Kate Middleton.

Then again, I would wear something like bright blue cobalt shoes. Which is not to many people’s tastes at all!

WitchesofPainswick · 12/05/2025 16:47

Charity shops are great for silver and gold shoes - people just buy them for weddings. :)

FusionChefGeoff · 12/05/2025 17:01

Glorious!!!!!
