Does this wedding guest dress flatter me?

I'm just taking a second look at the photos and doubting myself, I have no confidence in how I look in dresses! Side note, would you wear tights/stockings?

TIA

Why? They look more nude to me and completely appropriate

Agree

Disturbia81 · 11/05/2025 17:18

You look beautiful!

Mincepiethief · 11/05/2025 17:27

Gorgeous dress, and it looks amazing on you! Can I ask where it’s from…?
I’d say no tights, and the shoes are absolutely fine although you could definitely go more exciting with something metallic if you wanted.

Thulpelly · 11/05/2025 17:27

It looks amazing on you! Love the shoes too.

I personally hate tights (nude or otherwise), unless warmth is a factor. Absolutely no need in fine weather and the dress is long enough, wearing tights will frump it up.

Thulpelly · 11/05/2025 17:31

The only thing I would change is wearing fine gold chain/pendant necklace, instead of being matchy with the bracelet, as it looks a little precious.

But that’s a personal preference, and you do you if you love the jewellery!

yikesnotagain · 11/05/2025 17:37

I also bought this dress to try on for a wedding and you look 100% nicer in it than I did! It is a beautiful dress and you look stunning, I would wear it in a heartbeat if I was you. Sadly I don't have your lovely figure, am too thick of middle and it didn't sit quite right.

I think the shoes are fine. I was going to wear it with gold, block heeled shoes but yours are pretty neutral and I think look perfectly nice.

I hate tights so definitely wouldn't wear them and don't think you need them! It's not the 1950s so you don't need your legs to be covered up for the sake of formality.

IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle · 11/05/2025 17:37

The dress fits very well. The shoes aren't quite right. Very sheer, good quality tights. Fake tan looks awful.

Radionowhere · 11/05/2025 17:40

The dress is lovely on you. The shoes look perfectly fine.

welcometonewyorkitsbeenwaitingforyou · 11/05/2025 17:40

It looks beautiful! The shoes are fine. Have a wonderful time.

cherrymaoam · 11/05/2025 17:42

You look gorgeous. Don’t wear nude tights, they are so dated now. Open toe shoes with a manicure and Vita Liberata body blur.

Comedycook · 11/05/2025 17:42

Dress is really nice and suits you. I wouldn't bother with tights but if I did, yes, sheer, nude ones.

I think the shoes are a bit drab and bring the outfit down a little...but that's only if I'm being very fussy . They don't look bad.

Chewbecca · 11/05/2025 17:45

Dress looks fab, great colour and shows your tiny waist (or makes it look tiny if it isn't!).

Shoes are fine. Which is fine if you're fine with fine but not if you want head to toe fab.

gertrudebiggles · 11/05/2025 18:18

I love it on you, and the colour is really flattering

Cyclingmummy1 · 11/05/2025 18:29

Great dress.

Not keen on the shoes but agree with others that I wouldn't buy shoes if you're 'only' a guest. I bought pale pink suede heels for DB's wedding and now wear them for school. Figure it's better than them sitting on the wardrobe 🙃

ParmaVioletTea · 11/05/2025 18:32

IWillJustSayThis · 11/05/2025 16:25

Love the dress but not the colour of the shoes

Agree. The colour is lovely. It's a flattering style for your body shape - and looks comfortable!

But I don't like nude coloured shoes at all - I think the line of the leg needs some definition. I wouldn't wear stiletto pointy toes either - they look a bit cheap.

Roaminginthegloaming · 11/05/2025 18:35

@EmilyEmerald @yikesnotagain

May I please ask where to buy this dress? Is it available in other colours too?

thank you!

EmilyEmerald · 11/05/2025 18:36

@ParmaVioletTea Shoes were cheap to be honest! I may look at some other pairs, they're pale pink/nude. More nude than a beige pair would be on my pale skin.

Thank you though everyone, it's a phase eight dress.

I'll practice my bow tying to look more polished on the day too.

That looks amazing on you x

MrsPlantagenet · 11/05/2025 18:39

I think the dress is ok, but that length is extremely unflattering as it cuts off your legs at their widest part.

Screamingabdabz · 11/05/2025 18:42

I think it looks better on you than the model! Agree on some chunky gold sandals, gold jewellery and fake tan. Have fun!

Notmoreshopping · 11/05/2025 18:44

It looks lovely on you. I didn’t even notice the shoes so I think they’re fine. I would personally wear nude tights but very fine ones which don’t notice but make your legs look smooth.

Radionowhere · 11/05/2025 18:46

Agree that it looks better on you than the model.
I think it's the boobage 😆

Pawse · 11/05/2025 18:47

Blimey as everyone else has said you look gorgeous! Really suits your fabulous figure.

I think the shoes are fine and def wouldn't wear tights!!

Crikeyalmighty · 11/05/2025 18:47

Looks totally fab -

GwenSaturn · 11/05/2025 18:52

I was quickly scrolling through trying to find the link to this beautiful dress and was shocked when I saw it - you look better in it than the model! I would never buy it based on how it looks on the website! It looks amazing on you, OP. Wear it! :)

I’d wear it with silver sandals, silver bag and some silver statement earrings.
