Help me find a party dress please?

Help, I am trying to find something to wear for a friends Ibiza themed 50th next weekend. I am early 40s, have recently lost a lot of weight and currently tanned so feeling like I’d like to glam up (but have also spent the last 10 years covering up so not too out there).

would like something short, don’t mind what colour but tend to stay safe (not hot pink), possibly a low back, not long sleeved and not collared. Have been searching for weeks and have ordered a black play suit to try but I have a long torso and play suits don’t generally fit tight so I’m not holding out much hope. Up to £200 for the right outfit if it’s something I might get a few wears out of! Any suggestions please? Thank you

Have you looked at Wolf and Badger? It’s got a huge range from lots of smaller designers. I’m sure you find something perfect on there.

Congrats on the weight loss and feeling fab Ibiza glam sounds perfect for celebrating! Since you’re open to something short and a bit glam but still comfy, how about a sleek mini dress with a low back or asymetric detail? Brands like Rixo, Reiss or Nadine Merabi have gorgous options under £200. Maybe something in metalics or a soft neutral to show off your tan without going too bold. Also, check out Revolve they’ve got loads of flattering styles for longer torsos.

Yes! Thanks - that’s where the jumpsuit is coming from. Lots of beautiful designs, many that I like are well over budget!

My original post should say playsuits don’t fit right not tight! I tend to be too long for them so don’t want to spend the night pulling it out of my behind!!

love the chilli dress although I have some dodgy lower back tan lines so might be a bit too low at the minute. The second definitely would raise eyebrows at our local eatery where the party is being held 😂 the last time I wore a see through dress was when I was about 15 clubbing with turquoise underwear 😬
