Help me find a party dress please?

Help, I am trying to find something to wear for a friends Ibiza themed 50th next weekend. I am early 40s, have recently lost a lot of weight and currently tanned so feeling like I’d like to glam up (but have also spent the last 10 years covering up so not too out there).

would like something short, don’t mind what colour but tend to stay safe (not hot pink), possibly a low back, not long sleeved and not collared. Have been searching for weeks and have ordered a black play suit to try but I have a long torso and play suits don’t generally fit tight so I’m not holding out much hope. Up to £200 for the right outfit if it’s something I might get a few wears out of! Any suggestions please? Thank you

I saw one not quite as striking but similar on zalando. One tick. I wouldn't go for your safe colour when this is a treat trip and the dress a reward of sorts..

Congratulations on ur weight loss. I've just lost 2.5 stone but still have big legs so although I am more confident I still like a bit of back up in the leg department. I ordered this from Temu and I loved it so much I bought it in a other colours, it is soooo flattering.

it’s hard to get my head out of feeling like any old thing will have to do as I wasn’t happy with my size but I’m getting back some of the confidence I had in my 20s thankfully.

@JRM17 thank you and well done to you too. I’ve lost 3.5 stone but probably still a 12 and have the mum tum that needs a bit more work on it. But definitely getting away from only looking at long sleeved baggy dresses that I’ve made do with for the past 10 years.

I'm so glad you liked it. I think it's really classy and timeless. Would look great with patent sandals in a bold colour or perhaps silver. As Coco Channel famously said:" Less is more".
