I’ve been on a bit of a wellness (urgh) kick recently, training, using weights, looking after my diet more, re whitening my teeth, taking care of skin etc . I’m 55

I used to have Botox back in the day then stopped

Cos it was ££ 2The injector wasn’t brilliant and C. I wanted to ‘age naturally’ (hollow laugh)

Now I’m thinking fuck that for a game of soldiers and have thrown some money at my face, three areas specially, and will be wrinkle free in 14 days.

The (very nice) aesthetician mentioned fillers and now I’m googling them too. I’m on a slippery slope aren’t I ??

Lots of Arnica tablets in the lead up and after. Really helps with bruising.

I don’t know how people can be so certain ‘no one has ever guessed.’ I can tell when friends have had them and I don’t think it looks good but obviously I’m not going to say anything. They might think I’ve ’never guessed’ but they’re mistaken. What am I gonna say? Either a lie or what I really think which is that they’d look better without it.

But neither can you know that you can always tell who has had it done unless you ask every single person you meet. You can only tell when you can tell. I also think most of us have a friend that would say 'thought you had and personally I think you look better without it'. I know I definitely would if that's how I felt. It's not rude to say that.
