Ok that’s really interesting thanks. So I’m thinking high waisted white jeans and then some kind of nude heals / accessories (but comfier than the pink ones). I don’t think I can go too far wrong with that and hopefully stuff I will wear again..

Pair the top with wide leg more tailored trousers, it will look more modern. Do you have any chunky platform or sandals?

hookeywole · 28/03/2025 22:36

@Sowhatistheendgame like those

Hattieandcake · 28/03/2025 22:38

Shorts don’t look good, I would go for wide leg tailored trousers rather than jeans. Or a cream silk skirt with heels.

MiniCoopers · 28/03/2025 23:07

your figure is fantastic but they do not work together and white is not great

CinnamonJellyBeans · 28/03/2025 23:12

I think that wearing jeans to a race course, especially in a private box could make you feel underdressed, no matter how nice your jeans, lovely figure and accessories.

TizerorFizz · 28/03/2025 23:29

@mylittledoggie. Are you in a box? I might have missed it - but which racecourse? As someone who goes to these events a lot - they are fairly casual. Waistcoats don’t do it for me but you can absolutely wear good jeans. White ones would be fine and wear a good top with them. Holland Cooper supply just about everything for racegoing women these days! It’s Mrs Superdry. You only need to buy one of their summer looks and you will be fine. It can get a bit chilly at the end of these events so take a jacket.

The other alternative is a shirt dress. Lots around and I really like striped ones for summer. A smallish wicker bag and espadrilles and you’ve nailed it. Denim jacket for a chilly evening.

Racing ? Horse racing? 😡

TizerorFizz · 28/03/2025 23:36

Yes. Some of us call horse racing - racing! Fairly standard.

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 29/03/2025 06:15

You need a more structured short with that top. Maybe different shoes.

Racing is much more relaxed outside of Royal Ascot week (especially at some of the other courses) so I think you could get away with the outfit with different shorts. Just take a jacket as race courses are always bloody cold.

Middlechild3 · 29/03/2025 07:05

Waistcoat looks great, shorts don't go, different styles. I'd find another bottoms, keep the top

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 29/03/2025 07:07

I think you look lovely.
