Nice shaped nails but the colour is awful sorry. Chavy / smokers nails.

Off topic but is there a nail photo/share your nails thread on mumsnet? Seems quite a few of us would be interested in discussing colours/sharing nails!

It's a no but also doesn't go with skin tone, skin tone appears cool while that colour is very much warm.

I swear picking a nail colour is harder than picking a name for your baby.

Your skin very pink, that color makes skin look red.

Much as I love butterscotch and caramac this nail colour doesn’t go with your skin tone at all. It’s a shame your nail tech didn’t advise you about this? I know they cannot stop a client if they’re desperate for a particular colour it but sounds like you’d have been open to advice here and a steer away from it?

Could they put a glitter/shimmer too coat over it to mask it?

I have a more neutral, tan colour skin tone than yourself op, and I don’t think I could carry off that particular colour either.

Two weeks isn’t long though and I never notice the colour of peoples nails anyway, so I wouldn’t worry.

It's a nice colour, but it really doesn't suit your skin tone. You've got a pink skin tone, and this would be more suited to a darker olive skin.

Yes I can imagine it looking great on dark skin. But sorry OP, it reminds me of a bad fungal nail infection colour if being totally honest.

I love the idea of yellow but it looks terrible on me (blonde with pale skin). I’ve finally learned to stop buying things in the colour which inevitably look awful regardless of the style/cut etc.

If you like this shade, I’d go for a warm taupe colour with your skin tone - which suits me and mine is similar to yours. I’m not a fan of the sparkle with any colour really though (except maybe a festive berry colour with a subtle shimmer for Christmas party season).

The shade is August (Gel Bottle Inc). It's the perfect mix of red/orange. I love it, I live in fear they discontinue it! The only other colour I like is black.

I go my own gel nails so I can just redo them if I regret the colour. Coral or hot pink used to be my go to when I went to a nail bar. Any time I deviated I regretted it.

On the plus side, they're a nice, cheerful colour for the spring / Easter. And you have slender, youthful looking hands. Could be worse!

Yup, same, always regret.
I can do my own, its removing it I struggle with! The (lovely) girl I go to has it neatly removed in 10 minutes, whilst it takes me upwards of an hour to hack it off myself 😂
