Yes it would look tres chic on someone with a more olive or black skin tone, not good for your cool skin tone though! I bet a cool based pinky nude or red would look amazing though.just go back and get a top coat of something darker!!

If it makes you laugh though, there's been some fun suggestions so far on what this colour could be called. 1970s caravan? Nicotine Ceiling? Wurthers Original? I can go on..

It's bloody babyshit awful OP but you know that and get exactly why.

You're a pale pink toned person like me and therefore cannot do yellow based nails or lipstick esp in nudey tones.
Sorry that you're stuck with it for now but you need a much cooler mauvey pink nude. Or maybe a slightly grey/lilac based taupe if you are set on a nude.

Bright cobalt or a blue based pink or purple if you're open to brights. Or a cool toned red like Essie Forever Yummy. Bahama Mama is a good one on me too.

Haha thank you for cheering me up. 1970s caravan 😂 I can’t stop looking at them and thinking wtf was I thinking. It looked so beautiful on the swatch!! I’m full of cold but couldn’t cancel last minute so wasn’t really thinking straight and just wanted to get home. Why didn’t I go for lilac!! Oh well my nails match my current deathly skin tone I suppose. Hopefully I might convince DH to pay for them to be redone sooner in a couple of weeks for Mother’s Day.

In all honesty regardless of the colour, the thumb looks too thick/not painted correctly so I’d go back anyway asking them to fix it!

@Lighttodark I’m not going anywhere special but I might use Mother’s Day in a couple of weeks as an excuse to have them redone/paid for. I’ll survive even if my hands do look like that of a copse lol

Do you have a normal polish you could paint over it with temporarily?

There’s nothing worse than picking the wrong nail colour - deffo get an appointment quicker than you would normally to rectify 😝

If you’re stuck with them for a month I’d be inclined to just slap some normal glitter polish on top to disguise them a bit. Your gels will still hold up, you might need to reapply the glitter here and there but it might just make them look a bit less Risen From The Dead
