I live in leggings

Since having kids my size and shape have changed a lot and I'm at a loss as to how to dress now. Before kids I was a size 12 with a pear shape/hourglass figure. Now, I'm a size 16 with a huge bum, tights and a mum tum following 2 C-sections. The clothes I used to wear just wouldn't look good on me anymore but I don't want to wear leggings and jumpers/long baggy tops all the time. I'm 5'7 and 40 years old. Please help!

No suggestions, but just to say you look lovely! I really don't think you need to be hiding away in leggings all the time

Thank you x

Much as I love leggings, I think the problem comes with wearing a top that is supposedly to mask a tummy and bottom. The reverse is typically true.

The jumpsuit in your photo looks great, I have one similar although I prefer 7/8length to avoid looking chopped off.

Have a look at trousers on the Zara site, and pair them with some of their basics tops. I bought a fab pair of parachute fabric cargoes last summer which disguised a multitude of sins.

The colour of that jumpsuit looks great on you. There's lots of nice trousers about atm (as pp above has said), maybe a wide(r) leg would be good? And I agree with the person who said wear dresses on the school run if you like them; you can always make them look more casual with layering and/or the accessories/footwear you pair them with.
