Summer wardrobe when you are a bit of a chubber

I inflicted my arms on the unsuspecting folk of Weston-super-Mare today. It was not good (mind you, I wasn't alone there in my bingo wing affliction) No sleeves are bad - short sleeves are worse, as my arms spill out of them like a badly stuffed sausage.

It's too hot for cardigans

My legs are not good bare (even with fake tan)

Linen trousers look shit on me

Kaftans are a no no as I am 5ft tall with ample norkage, so they make me look preggers.

Ap[art from a sack, what else is there?

I have a 14 denim skirt that falls off me

SheikYerbouti · 08/05/2008 17:19

I love dresses like that - they suit my shape (I think, anyway) But what does one do about arms?

Thing is, I am not huge in dress size terms - quite often a 14 is mahoosive on me - but being short and small framed - I look HUGE

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 08/05/2008 17:21

Mercy · 08/05/2008 17:23

That is a nice dress; but why is the skirt more expensive than the dress?

(and I wish the petite section carried the same range of skirts - some really nice ones there)

Damn, I'd been on the M&S website earlier debating whether to by DS1 some school shorts, even though they were OOS for DS2s size - then I followed LL's link and I've now bought DS1s shorts, and myself a pair of trousers.......that wasn't what I was meant to do! Shorts, not floaty, comfy looking trousers (that are long enough that I'm not doing that vile ankle flashy thing)
