@Drivingoverlemons what's the sizing like on the star jeans, I am a size 10/12 ,there's a pair in a 10 on ebay but they say the waist is 34 that's big for a size 10 do that mean I need a size 6? or as second hand maybe they have stretch out,

Bear in mind that the actual measurement across the waistband will be bigger than 28" (size 10) if the jeans are low rise. Try measuring some of your own jeans that have a similar rise or even measure yourself at the point where you expect the jeans will come up to. Then you'll have a better idea of whether these are likely to fit or not.

lindyloo57 · 28/01/2025 13:57

@Ellapaella I guess they must of stretch quite a bit, my waist is 30 so I will not chance it,

Still buy from Hush in the sale, I always succumb (right now 20% off sale) when vastly reduced. Never pay full price, Agree it’s got far too expensive at non sale for the quality.
i have not been charged p&p for returns either but that may be because I’m a “friend”?
I agree that it’s very hit and miss now but my stuff has lasted years! I am careful with washing in delicate cycles and that includes even t shirts! I used to love their cashmere but don’t bother with their knitwear now.
Their joggers, and trousers I love (recommend the cord joggers in the sale)
Also their leather is good quality for the price when vastly reduced. Their skirts can be lovely, dresses are a bit boring now…
Basically you need to try on a lot to find the gems but there are gems to be found…

I still like Hush, some of their stuff anyway but the quality has gone down and the price has increased so some things are a bit ridiculous tbh.

Octocat · 29/01/2025 14:10

I have a couple of lovely Hush things but have definitely experienced shrinkage and colour coming off buttons. The quality is definitely too hit and miss.

I didn’t buy anything for almost two years and basically stopped looking then came across a link to their gorgeous Millie tulle skirt which I bought and loved. Have occasionally checked since then and have just received two absolute bargain skirts from their sale - Katie for £19.50! and Yvette for £29.50.

I used to buy lots when they first started but it’s got ridiculously overpriced. I stumbled across it again and found some good sale bargains so I placed an order and paid for next day delivery as I was wfh today so would be home to receive the parcel. Guess what, it hasn’t arrived - or even been dispatched as far as I can tell. Their LiveChat has been down all day and the email auto-reply says they’ll get back to me within 3 days. Really not impressed with such terrible customer service 😡

Ireolu · 29/01/2025 23:19

I buy hush in the sale. I bought a few dresses and I am currently eying a wool coat I hope will be reduced. If it's not it's fine!

StrikeAlways · 30/01/2025 00:35

I think I must be lucky because I have never had anything bad quality from Hush. I only ever buy in the Sales. Usually, sweatshirts, joggers, occasionally tee shirts. Just recently I have bought two pairs of Hush jeans. One from Brandalley and one direct from Hush. I am very fussy about jeans, but it appears theirs really work for my shape and they are lovely quality.

Leoislazy · 27/03/2025 15:01

Can anyone help me with sizing please? I’ve never bought anything from Hush but I really like the look of their Amie tapered joggers and their Pleat Detail joggers in blue. I’m 5’6” and normally a size 8. The reviews seem to suggest the sizing runs quite large and I should be ordering the XXS and size 6, instead of the XS and size 8. Any thoughts?

JustLikeThatBluebird · 27/03/2025 15:06

@Leoislazy They do run large so I would usually recommend to size down though their bottoms aren't quite as over-sized as their tops (and some dresses). I would say it depends where you're usually a size 8. Do you know your M&S size? My Hush bottoms are all the same size as my M&S bottoms, which is a size smaller than places like Nobody's Child.

Leoislazy · 27/03/2025 15:21

Thanks @JustLikeThatBluebird I have a pair of M&S ‘collection’ joggers I bought last year (was hoping to get another pair but they don’t have them anymore). Those are a size 8 and massive on me, I had put on weight after surgery so they were passable at the time but now the seat hangs too low at the back to wear outside 😆
I might try the smaller size but order from JL in case I have to return them.

JustLikeThatBluebird · 27/03/2025 17:37

@Leoislazy I would definitely suggest the 6 in that case. And yes, order from John Lewis so you don't have to pay the returns fee. If you have the funds maybe try both if John Lewis have them (I'd forgotten that John Lewis stock Hush - thanks for the reminder!).

Continuewithfacebook · 27/03/2025 20:15

M&S now stock Hush also which I find off-putting...
