pair of sparkly sketchers sandals I’ve had for 3 summers now, cost me £30 which is way way more than I would ever spend on sandals but they are comfy and I will get at least another 3 summers out of them.

my spend on clothing for me is next to nothing, charity shops or sales at supermarkets and only if I need the item.

In a total change from my usual cheapo clothes yesterday I went shopping for nice things because today we have a slightly more upmarket late afternoon party to attend and i really have nothing suitable.

Stretch bra and old socks, both from Amazon multipacks, total maybe £10. Sand/cream Puma Mayze stacks, £75 two years ago. Fitbit £70, gold studs & rings totalling £150.

I'd be a bit less porridge-like if I accessorised, but can't be bothered. This outfit is comfy: I feel like I'm being hugged by swathes of thick, soft cotton!

Long necklace with stones and a bone looking shape on a leather string, charity shop years ago

Yesterday was a pink jacket (Hobbs, €150 this season), M&S trousers (€49) and a navy jumper (Uniqlo €39), with my 4 year old black flat Clarke’s shoes (€99?) and a necklace that was a present from DH.

today, the same trousers in black rather than yesterdays navy pair, and shoes. Lands end black long sleeved top (€17 in sale 4 years ago) and a tweed jacket I got 3 years ago (€175). And a nexklace from the rock shop €90 - also 4 years ago.

tomorrow, likely either the navy trousers and pink jacket again with a pink M&S boatneck top (€22 last year) or that jacket with last year’s navy Hobbs dress (€160).

I leave a navy and a black trousers and the turquoise jacket, and black flats here, but the pink jacket, pink top and navy dress will be coming back to my overseas temporary home this weekend (home for 3 days of meetings).
