Tescos mineral eyeshadow is nice, it's a roller ball so it doesn't fly around everywhere.

Asda oil free make up removers

Asda bronzer powder

Miss Sporty from Superdrug does good, cheap make-up, I think it might be the new name for Coty? Their thick eyeliners are great.

thanks furball and watsthestory, am due to go to closest tescoes on tues (45 mins away ) and need new mascara.... my old one is about 2.5 years old and died a few months back and the aldi one is awful

actually yes, while i'm here... aldi make-up really not good. mascara clumps before it even gets to you're eyelashes and hair dye (not technically make-up i know) fades after only a couple of weeks

Maybelline 'Instant Rewind' Foundation. Fabulous. You can get it in Sainsbos and Tesco, I think.

MrsMattie · 04/05/2008 14:27

Boots own brand fragrance free eye make up remover (in the blue bottle) is quite nice.

PinkTulips · 05/05/2008 20:30

i have an aldi one cod, am not impressed.

budget is non existant but dp owes me a treat after having alcoholic fil in the house all weekend. the B%$$% smoked in the playroom and dropped ash all over the kids toys! surely i deserve a fiver on a mascara for that, right?

twinsetandpearls · 05/05/2008 20:33

Tesco's cream eyeshadows for a fiver are brilliant (esp great brown shade called driftwood). I had bought Benefit's creasefree cream shadow the day before; Tesco's beats it hands down. Good pigment and it is crease free (unlike Benefit's - crease free my arse, I had crepey eye by 10 in the morning).

chonky · 05/05/2008 20:53

Couldn't survive without John Frieda's Frizz Ease shampoo and conditioners either.

dh loves waitrose organic moisturiser. he has oily skin.

waitrose umi heavy duty conditioner is excellent (i have curly dyed and chlorined hair)

palmers aloe vera body moisturiser. lasts ages, does job and doesn't smell of coconuts.

bounty kitchen roll. instead of stupid muslin facial cloths that get lost in wash.

woodenchair · 05/05/2008 21:08

bounty kitchen roll, fucking brilliant!!!!

is great for people of tender complexion. not like those wretched brillo pads you conned me into buying.

chonky · 06/05/2008 20:04

What about the Waitrose Bottom Butter deserves? It was in this week's Style mag as being recommended by MNetters (ooh - get us).

Tisserand's Tea Tree Body Wash is also fabulous if you have the pox. Can buy it in Waitrose, and I think Tesco's too.

Erm..Vaseline lip balm in the blue tin for 99p?

Olay's Illuminating Moisturiser with SPF 15 (the one that's about £7) - great stuff, easily outperforms Lancome's SPF15 for oily skin (blardy £24!!!). Can buy pretty much anywhere I think.
