Ta-dah

Go on, it's nice right?

Heh, really didn't see myself in white but hey, too pretty a dress to resist.

I wanted to say thank you to all of you who put in loads of advice on the other thread and to apologise if any of you felt like you'd wasted your time. You certainly didn't, that dress will still be worn (when repaired) to many a party! But I'm just relieved to have sorted something for the wedding.

Disclaimer: I had to use the camera timer for the first time and then run back to get in shot and pose whilst supervising two toddlers who were imitating me.

There is a lovely orchid cake topper on ebay Item number: 220229088531.
One of my favourite wedding websites is lovesme loves me knot. Though the website is down re doing the layout but worth ringing them as I love the floating orchid candles.

S1ur · 01/05/2008 19:28

And cheers very much for offers of shoes, Cod I am size 3 so probably can never walk a mile in your shoes. Thank you for kind offer though.

Lapin, again lovely offer. I'm going shopping on Saturday to look at Dune shoes can I CAT you after?

Aargh Tilly - Dune is playing up on me, but finally saw your faves not others though. they are lovely will check out at weekend.

Brookes - yes, unusual but first pair too expensive and second got that strap round ankle which someone (maybe Wats) told me to avoid. Thank you for looking though!

You haven`t got fat ankles I would try them they may flatter. I wear ankle strap ones and I look sexy ( listen to me lol !)

brookeslay · 01/05/2008 19:47

Oh thankyou Brookes. I like that lovesme site. Perhaps I'll get some bunting for the garden

I think strappy seems to have the mn vote on shoes though.

Yes a backup flower for hair may be a good plan, good thinking!

I put a pic of the cocktail vase on my profile . Not good pic sorry but you can see the white roses and the little mirror cubes I bought. The red roses were a present.

fucking lovely.

S1ur · 02/05/2008 22:37

Thank you lovely lovely people

Wedding is midsummer, 21st June. Eeek so little time, so many annoying details to work out.

(Dress is from Monsoon.)

Anyone who is still looking here... Do you think I should get a shrug/borelo?

OP posts:
TillyScoutsmum · 03/05/2008 12:11

I don't think the dress needs one and it would be a shame to cover up your gorgeousness (pedants - I realise that is not a proper word ).

I suppose it depends on the weather forecast and how much time you're going to spending outside. If its going to be cold, then you might just want to get something for when you're outside - but I'd definately not bother for the ceremony.

God - what an incredibly dull and practical answer - I sound like my mother

You've gotta hope Midsummer's day will be warmish though

belgo · 03/05/2008 12:13

yes get a shrug or something for if it's cold.

belgo · 03/05/2008 12:13

gorgeous dress.

Wolfgirl · 03/05/2008 12:14

Beautiful dress!! wow, you will be a million dollars on your day.

ScoobyDoo · 03/05/2008 12:23

Psychomum5 · 03/05/2008 12:38

how about a pretty shawl/scarf/wrap type thing for if it is a wee bit chilly??

flame had a gold/cream wrap for her wedding and it was really pretty, and different.
