I have a massive leather shoulder bag that I bought in some random market a decade ago. It’s on its last legs and I’d like an upgrade. I think I’m finally grown up enough to deserve a nice everyday bag. 🤣

Needs to be massive
Ideally leather
Suitable for daily use
Reasonably smart but still relaxed (I am aware this possibly doesn’t make sense, but it’s what I want 😊)
I’m thinking about £2k?

Any suggestions, please?

For many brands I would agree although I do think that there are many £800-£1,000 bags worth buying. But for brands like Gucci, YSL, Dior & especially Prada they are really not worth the premium.

But Bottega Veneta & Loewe are different. The craftmanship in their handmade bags and the quality of leather used are worth every penny if you can afford it. Mulberry are not of that calibre, but for their price point they too are worth the money.

Hermes would be worth it if they were similarly priced to Loewe & Bottega. Their bags are exceptional, but not in my opinion worth the price.

I bought a Prada bag 10 years ago for £2k and the sane bag is now £5k. I couldn’t believe it!!!
