Its a Christmas Party Dress Emergency

I had a dress on order for my work industry Christmas Party next week, and delivery is delayed. Slightly panicking now so hoping you marvellous women can help me.

I need to find a dress for a big lunch (1200 people) and after party at a 5* hotel.

Dress code is fairly relaxed, and I prefer edgy to sweet.

I need:
Sleeves
Not high neck as I have largish bust (G cup)
Midi though I would consider a maxi
I'd prefer a dress I can wear with boots - I don't do heels

budget up to £150

Oh I should have said my size - I'm an 18/20 ish I think. Big big in bust

I've recnelty lost 20kilos so sizing is going to be a bit strange as I've not tried any new clothes on recently

I do like that! Not sure about the sizing though - I might get my body into an 18 but possibly not the bust.

I hear you! It’s quite a stretchy cut, but I had to go up a size and wear a coral vest underneath for decency …

Have you had a look at never fully dressed?

They have some really fab dresses and skirt / top combos and you can see on diff sizes of model too.

there was an amazing dress posted on S&B a month or so ago - like a giant abstract leopard/fire print with big sleeve ends, in silk. I was over my budget but I'd be tempted if I could find it and they ahd my size

I would never have looked at that but I do like it.

I don't think my bust would get int there though in an 18.

A stretch fabric might work in an 18, but not more structured.

Wolf and Badger look fab. I'm probably still a wee bit too big for their 18's in the bust

I've got a couple of dresses from omnes that might work. I'm also an 18/20 - and find the 18 a little snug on the bust but generally a good fit.

I'm trying to cancel the order before they ship it and I'm in the loop on doom with a chat bot and a "contact us" form that won't submit.

So it will probably be shipped from Bulgaria, only to have me return it becasue they are uncontactable! annoying.

I'd definitely opt for a v neck or wrap as the striped dress for instance really won't work on you (I'm the same size and large in bust!)

Lately I've had success with Silk Fred, Scarlett and Jo and Monsoon but I'm still in mourning for pepperberry!

I really can't do florals anymore - I've worn a lot of florals in the past but I'm over them now.
