I had the CB calendar in 2022 and enjoyed it. Defected to Liberty last year and now back to CB. I bought the fragrance variant.

I have the mauve glow too. I was thinking I might try and use it as an eyeshadow when I go out tonight.
Though I’m exceptionally cack handed and putting on eye makeup, so who knows what I’ll end up looking like!
@Jellycats4life did you get a little booklet in with your calendar? Just wondering what that said you’d get on day 6.
I’ve had that moisturiser before, and that it was lovely for giving a non-shimmery glow, so hopefully you’ll enjoy it.

@NorthFaceofthelaundrypile Welcome! I have Mauveglow too and I tried it out today and it was lovely. Really happy with it.

Another thing I'm really happy with is the ExfoliKate. Gave it a try last night and my skin looks undeniably better today - much smoother if that makes sense?

Good point about the booklet @NorthFaceofthelaundrypile. I just checked mine and it matched what I got in my box - ExfoliKate instead of moisturiser. (By the way, love your username! My nickname for the unending pile of laundry is Mount Laundry!).

Day 8:

Two things in today's box- a nice surprise! There seems to be an eye product theme.

Dr Levy Intense Stem Cell Eye Booster Concentrate 7ml (sells at this size for £99!!!).

111SKIN Rose Gold Illuminating Eye Mask (sells for £12).

I'm never sure about eye products and I'm not a huge fan of masks but looking forward to giving the cream a go. Maybe it will reduce some of my 20 eye bags and make me look less haggard! I've got perhaps unrealistically high hopes at £99 for 7ml!

£99! Good lord. Sometimes I wonder whether people ever buy these £££ products, or do they only exist to go in advent calendars and give the illusion of fantastic value 😄

I’ve had a bunch of 111Skin masks in beauty boxes etc. I like them, so I’ll definitely use these, but again I don’t think they’re worth the money.

Day 9:

ISAMAYA Spur Stick Suede Lip Liner (£22)

I got the shade 'Buck' which looks a little dark for me. Don't have that much experience with lip liners either? Absolutely beautiful packaging though!

Huh @ConradKnightSocks I got two products this morning! I said this the other day, but I love getting make up in advent calendars, as long as they’re the right products and shades for me. I discounted a couple of calendars on the basis of having red lipsticks or black eyeliners, which aren’t for me.

I have the shade Bluff which is more of a nude dark pink, which I like.

Did you get the fragrance calendar of the regular one? Just wondering if that makes a difference.

I got two products too @Jellycats4life , I got the scent calendar.

Just went back to check and definitely only got one thing today. It was a gift from my husband, but I think I have the normal advent calendar not the fragrance one. So that must be the difference. It will be interesting to see what the differences are as we go along.

Really disappointed actually in today's lip liner. It's much, much too dark a shade for me, so it won't get used. It's dark brown, so I'm a bit gutted because it looked so nice and I like getting make up too.

I haven’t received any fragrances yet @ConradKnightSocks but I know I’ll be getting a Sol de Janeiro body spray (my teen loves these so she’ll get that) and a Kayali perfume, both minis.

I’ve just checked the booklet (and spoiled the contents of tomorrow’s drawer, haha) and it shows two products for today, so I think you’ve been stiffed! I’d contact CB.

This is so strange, I just double checked my booklet - about to contact CB - but my booklet only shows one product too. So maybe your fragrance advent calender is like the deluxe version so you get extra treats as well as the fragrances? Or my husband just got the bargain basement version? 😂

I went through the days when I was deciding which to order, they have pretty much the same products but the scent one does have extra - I think (but can’t quite remember) that the perfumes are all in addition to the normal calendar items, so some drawers are double to account for that.

@summerdew ah, ok. Now I am feeling shafted! Asked dh said he confirmed I've got the normal one and that he wanted to get me the scent one but it had sold out!

Yeh it sold out quite quickly and I thought at the time it was odd that you got more for the same cost.

Does anyone know the value of today’s drawer contents?
My lip liner doesn’t scroll up and my other thing is missing!
Not the best of drawers!

I thought my liner was faulty too, but I kept winding and winding and eventually the product started moving up the barrel.

Which version of the calendar do you have? Your booklet will say whether you should have had one or two products today. I didn’t realise this until @ConradKnightSocks showed her booklet is different to mine!

I thought mine was a duff one too. I'll try twisting and twisting it to see if that helps! Not that I'm bothered anyway because the shade is so awful.

@NorthFaceofthelaundrypile the liner is £22, but I don't know about the other product because I only got the terrible lip liner 😫

The colour looks like it would suit being an eyeliner more than a lipliner.

Pat McGrath Labs - Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner 1ml (£30)

The mascara is only a mini but I'm always searching for the holy grail of mascaras for my stubby lashes, so looking forward to giving this a go!

Haven't used liquid eyeliner in a while so will have to get practising.

Was the scent version the same today?

Yep, same products for me today. Liquid eyeliner is pretty pointless for me unless I get an upper blepharoplasty (which I’m hoping to do next year). My eyes are so hooded, any sort of eye make up is a waste of time! 😂

Have finally managed to roll up my lipliner. Far too dark for me!

Same here. I wonder if you can use lip liner as eye liner?!

Day 11 in the non-scent version:

Tad underwhelmed by this today. I've given it a go after my shower and my hair does feel more silky but doubt it looks 'expensive-looking'!!! I'll probably use it up though, despite my moaning!

Nope, same drawer today!

I might give this to my daughter as she’s paranoid about heat damage, purely from using a hairdryer on her hair. I keep telling her that’s no big deal and she’s too lazy to wash her hair more than once a week anyway.

This is the 'mini' size, full size is 50ml and £35.

Another hair product! Would like a bit more variety in the type of product, but probably just being fussy (feel bad when I moan because it was a gift). I always get a hair oil in an ac but can't remember being ever blown away. I don't use one regularly, happy to hear about recommendations though! The packaging looks nice, so could pass on as a gift possibly.

Same for me today! I do use hair oils a few times a week, so this will get used (eventually - it takes me ages to use one up) so I might consider passing this onto my daughter as well.
