How would you style metallic barrel jeans?

I know I know, people prefer skinnies here!

In an attempt to make my uniform of jeans (or being realistic, track pants) and a jumper more fun and festive I have ordered these jeans to wear at Christmas:

I’m assuming everyone will hate them but I like a baggy thigh 😂

What would you put them with? I’m tall and about a size 14. I thought I was more like a 16/18 but everything I’ve tried on in size 16 lately has been much too big so let’s say 14.

I’m thinking of pairing them with black Clarks wallabees and a black knitted Christmas jumper for going to see the lights and I know they’ll look fine with any T-shirt but I’m hoping for a bit more inspiration. I don’t usually shop at Warehouse, this was an impulse purchase! I like clothes from Folk, Uniqlo, Hush, Toast, Damson Madder.

I like the shape of them as skinny jeans look horrendous on anyone who doesn't have long, slim legs. It's the metallic I don't like.

I'd style them straight into the bin. Sorry @Pikachuking but I think they are irredeemable!

Also hate skinny jeans on anyone who hasn't got the legs for them, me included.
I like them actually, although id never buy them. If I wore them it would be with trainers and a plain black or grey sweater. They kind of speak for themselves really.

I'd be worried that they'd make my thighs look more enormous than they are, but I do like them.

Definitely prefer the Silver ones.

I love barrel leg jeans and metallics. Indeed, by rights, I should love these too. I don't. They're dreadful and look like a space suit. Definitely one to put back.

Coated metallic denim such as this always works better on a skirt.

OP, if you want some metallic trousers, go for something brocade.

I kind of like them. They’ll certainly be a talking point but great for Christmas cheer. I’d probably go for a contrast texture up top like a knit or velvet.

The Ganni ones are a totally different style to the silver balloon leg ones though..(I prefer them).
I love a balloon leg jean but not sure about the silver ones. However I'd style them with a pointed flat or heel and mix up texture by wearing with a chunky knit cropped jumper on top which will also balance out the balloon shape.

They are def giving kitchen foil vibes.I agree with PPs....I think metallics work better as either more subtle for trousers or as a skirt.

They also look noisy, like they would crinkle like a crisp packet when you walk!😏

I’m not in love with the jeans but I think one of these looks might work (though not necessarily in these colours.)

I like them and would style with a hoody, jacket and probably trainers. boots and long socks if very cold.

The reason that they are 70% off is that they are impossible to style. I can't think of anything to put with them that will stop them giving astronaut vibes. I'm not against silver trousers or barrel leg jeans but these don't work.

I don't like them but if I had to wear them I'd go all out Christmas in them

I might wear them, not tried that shape but I think they're supposed to be a bit above ankle length so I would wear Chelsea boots and a pink jumper. I have a white one with Santa Baby written in pink I would try with them. Indoors with ankle ugg slippers

Those are fun. Not my personal style but I like them for someone else.
If say bright pink or orange jumper.

Not for me. If I had to style them I would try to counterbalance
-trousers are super wide, so, something tight fitting on top
-will have to be cropped or short fit or tucked in because you have to keep the waistline of the jeans visible (if you go for sth looser/longer/over, the silhouette will be very bulky)
-metallic and shiny, so I would go for black
A basic black merino jumper
-for jewellery, I would for one chunky silver necklace or bracelet or earrings to “echo” what’s happening at the bottom, probably more brushed silver, matte than shiny
-shoes, not sure, nothing too chunky or too small (like ballerinas), I d probably stick to a pair of black trainers
-handbag, something pretty small, if I wanted a touch of colour, that’s where I would put it

I wouldn't be seen dead in them but would suggest a fluffy white mohair from H and M.

I thought I’d update! They’re not exactly flattering but I don’t mind that and they do rustle when I walk so people will hear me coming 😂 and my husband thinks they’re ridiculous but I’m going to keep them to wear to the multiple parties I’m going to where I will have to run after my toddler!

I will wear a plainer black belt and maybe the jacket is overkill, but maybe it isn’t 🧑‍🎄
