How would you style metallic barrel jeans?

I know I know, people prefer skinnies here!

In an attempt to make my uniform of jeans (or being realistic, track pants) and a jumper more fun and festive I have ordered these jeans to wear at Christmas:

I’m assuming everyone will hate them but I like a baggy thigh 😂

What would you put them with? I’m tall and about a size 14. I thought I was more like a 16/18 but everything I’ve tried on in size 16 lately has been much too big so let’s say 14.

I’m thinking of pairing them with black Clarks wallabees and a black knitted Christmas jumper for going to see the lights and I know they’ll look fine with any T-shirt but I’m hoping for a bit more inspiration. I don’t usually shop at Warehouse, this was an impulse purchase! I like clothes from Folk, Uniqlo, Hush, Toast, Damson Madder.

I’d wear with pointed flats or something more delicate on my feet. And a fitted black top, something like this maybe.
I don’t wear clumpy shoes with my barrel jeans. If wearing trainers they aren’t heavy ones. And balance the volume of the jeans with something more fitted on top.

DMs or trainers. Plain black t-shirt! Plain black oversized sweater or jumper. You look good op

I wore my blue denim barrel legs today with my red velvet & raspberry suede adidas gazelle flatforms, raspberry socks, black leather belt and a tucked in black knit with gold sequin bow detail as my nod to Christmas for our work gathering today. I felt great, my colleagues may have wondered what on earth I was thinking.

This sounds great, I think my style is quite similar to yours - love to tuck, love a flatform and love a colourful sock!
