Thoughts on this bomber jacket?

I feel that the pictures aren't the best, as I can't be sure of the colours, but wondering if this is nice or hideous? Does anyone have it?

Not sure if I'm just feeling nostalgic about the autumnal bomber jacket I had in my early teens Grin

I love it!!! And it looks a million times better with trousers than with the dress Next put it with. You look great.

NotbloodyGivingupYet · 24/11/2024 23:27

Sorry OP, I was so surprised at the ziplessness of it, I forgot to say that it looks fab on you!

Justleaveitblankthen · 25/11/2024 00:11

My auntie-not real auntie-had a knitting bag in the same pattern, circa 1975 😶‍🌫️

So it really does feel a stretch to call it a jacket. It's really thin, more like two thin layers, and doesn't have a zip.

I do like it though. Colours are a little brighter than the website photos.

Just still undecided if it's worth £70 for it to sit in the wardrobe for the next 5/6 months.

It doesn't need to sit in the wardrobe for 6 months. Don't treat it as an outdoor jacket but as another layer in the same way a cardigan/ jumper/ sweatshirt is and wear it under your outdoor coat.

It looks like the kind of thing an 80 year old would wear with velvet trousers, sorry.

I was going to say this, it’s giving me Mary Berry vibes

LoyalMember · 25/11/2024 13:41

That would look good with jeans and smart trainers.

Jaehee · 25/11/2024 13:56

I like it, but I wouldn't buy it because it has sequins which are an environmental disaster.

Will you still like it in 5-6 months' time? I've bought quite a few things with the intention of wearing them in another season, but by the time it comes round I wonder what I was thinking.

WouldIBeMad · 26/11/2024 07:31

Oh I love it! Would wear with jeans. Going to put a search on Vinted for something similar!

Grammarnut · 26/11/2024 09:58

I like it. Couldn't wear it, sadly, but it's lovely.

Grammarnut · 26/11/2024 10:00

Looks good.

19Questions · 26/11/2024 11:25

Well I love it! Looks great on you. I normally hate all the clothes people post here, weird trousers for £350 from a shop I've never heard of, everyone loves them, and I'm just totally underwhelmed.

It's very much in the style of my 23 year old niece who admittedly looks great in any old shapeless thing.

I love this jacket! Zip or no zip 😅

mummabubs · 26/11/2024 11:42

I'm just chuckling because I am that person who bought a similar patterned silk bomber from Vinted for a fiver two weeks ago. I already find myself staring at it lovingly in my wardrobe thinking "what the heck do I wear with you then?" So thank you to those who have suggested outfits on this thread, they've helped me!

I really like it OP but maybe I'm not the best person to advise given my own fashion choices 😂

i love a bomber jacket but the combination of palm trees and sequins is horrific

I bought a nice one from Zara earlier this year, they usually have a lot on their website

Berlinlover · 26/11/2024 15:21

I really like it.

dephlogisticated · 27/11/2024 10:08

You look lovely Made me smile that you bought it as I totally think you made the right decision, love the trainers too. Surprised by no zip!!! But keep it, you look gorgeous.

bringmesunshiiine · 27/11/2024 19:48

Thanks all for the positive comments! You have persuaded me to keep it.

I think I'll definitely be able to get good use out of it with some imagination in a few months.

I just wish I could wear it next week to the gig I'm going to, but I'd be a little frozen snotter before I even got there.

I don't think Next should call it a bomber jacket. I'd call it a blouson. I'm currently wearing my 3 year old black bomber jacket from Cos and I'd say I look more military police Blush

I love this mental image 😁
Just picturing you with a couple of menacing German Shepherds scanning the crowd on a train platform...

MiloMinderbinder · 07/12/2024 18:24

Does not look good on the model …

canyouseemyhousefromhere · 07/12/2024 19:14

I love it. It would go lovely with jeans or a pair of black trousers.

DoYouAlwaysHaveToSayThat · 07/12/2024 19:14

It's horrible and won't "go" with anything

Deeperthantheocean · 07/12/2024 19:17

If you like it get it, you don't need verification as everyone has their own style. I'm not a fan of bomber jackets but I like the pattern on it if that helps?

Diddlyumptious · 07/12/2024 19:57

Sorry a hard no from me.

Kassalah · 07/12/2024 20:07

I love it!😊Have added it to my favourites in the hope the price drops and my size comes back. Can see me rocking it on the plane to the Caribbean 😃

SparklingPinot · 07/12/2024 20:20

I love this! But like others have said not sure how much wear I’d get out of it for £68 too
