What shoes with this party dress?

I am having a big Christmas party for our friends and the friends of all our 20s kids so multi-generational and likely to go on into the night (bar, dance floor, dj etc). I have bought this dress which I love. Struggling with shoes. My tolerance for heels is limited since covid but not do I want flats as I think I need the help a heel can give me.

I assume black - but would you choose a kitten heel suede pump or something with a medium block for comfort (not very party) or I have seen a strappy square block heel which might work but exposes a lot of the feet for December…. Help please!

I'd go for the suede kitten heel, I find kitten heels quite comfy. You can always take some black ballet flats with you for the end of the party.

I wouldn't go suede personally. I'd go for a bit of sparkle since it's Christmas.

So could I go as low as this do you think? (Photo 1) the higher block heels I worry look a bit heavy and worky. Or this sling back kitten? (Ignore the prices, it’s the look I’m focusing on!!)

Photos 1 and 2 are fine IMO, 3 and 4 look a bit matronly/headmistress.

I’d go for Esska.

They are ridiculously comfortable and I can wear them for hours and dance without so much as a twinge. Plus gorgeous.

The sling backs with the block heel are lovely and look comfy too

I'd go for the flatter suede with the block heel, but hell, its your party at your home, have some comfy flats or crocs or something handy. No-one cares where we live!

live the block heeled slingbacks but they are Blahnik and £600 and I can’t find anything similar which is so elegant.

just found these on the outnet - velvet and tulle - heavily reduced as only one pair left which is my size - what do you think? Have ordered to try on.

Will get a pedicure so if I end up barefoot at the end of the evening that’s ok 🤣

Definitely gold with that dress at Christmas.

I have the Eskaa shoes in gold and they are very comfy. I've worn them with everything. They are fab.

I do quite like the eskaa shoes but they are much chunkier than my usual. I will def look at them if the ones I’ve ordered don’t work.
