How would you style this skirt for Christmas?

I saw a skirt and instantly fell in love with it, I’ve bought it in black. We’re going out to a hotel for Christmas Day but I can’t decide how to style it? I have black woollen cardigans in dark green and deep red that are waist length with ankle boots, I also have body suit that’s a cross over front with chiffon sleeves and sandals. For context 5’9” size 8/10.

But you can easily get a jumper or cardigan or shrug or bolero to go with it.

A Whistles Annie Sparkle jumper would be perfect over the cami top as it can be taken off or arms tied round in front. Zara has a lovely gold foil cardigan but other retailers will have sparkly cardigans.

From Oliver Bonas last year I think in sales I got a creamy white with black and gold glitter wavy horizontal stripes which I find is a perfect glitzy knit cover up.

I have a similar skirt and wear it with Eskaa metallic sandals and a short sleeved black knitted top from H and M.

Oh my goodness, I love this! Next have just benefited from your marketing as I’ve just had to buy it! 🤣🤣🤣 I have a T-shirt from mint velvet which is slightly silky with a sequin star on the front. I would probably wear that with it and then perhaps a cropped jacket for warmth if necessary.

I ordered this, based on your thread.
Unfortunately, it was just too long..I'm 170cm but despite trying to adjust, it didn't suit me, such a shame, as it's a lovely skirt, and felt well made and was lined.
I think I need to be taller!
So pleased to see it looking good.
I'm after similar, slim fit as sized 8 but not as long, any ideas, anyone?

If you're staying indoors a simple black cami top would be enough as the skirt has enough going on without a detailed top.

I can’t wear black. I makes me look like death. I do like the burgundy and the green in the skirt and I am considering buying to try but what colour top would you suggest? Sorry to high jack OP.

If you think you’d be cold then a black wraparound (like ballet style) cardigan would work over a cami top.

Just to say I ordered the skirt in black and burgundy and it’s ridiculously long for me so will be returning. It’s a beautiful skirt so it’s a shame. I did order this skirt also and it’s much better length wise so happy with it!

They seem to have styled it pretty well on the model. I can't imagine too many other styles of top will be as nice. But that's just me.
