How would you style this skirt for Christmas?

I saw a skirt and instantly fell in love with it, I’ve bought it in black. We’re going out to a hotel for Christmas Day but I can’t decide how to style it? I have black woollen cardigans in dark green and deep red that are waist length with ankle boots, I also have body suit that’s a cross over front with chiffon sleeves and sandals. For context 5’9” size 8/10.

Personally I'd go winter white on top. Keep it fresh and seasonal.

I think a green or red might feel a bit fusty.

I got something like this about 18 months ago from River Island, not this exact one but a cami top in a material that’s not silky, basically I wanted to disguise a v neck gap on a dress but have worn the top with jeans and diamanté seam leggings on separate occasions and it looks good. I’d also add you can wear a cropped blazer or biker jacket with the skirt, if you check some of the other colours there’s a biker jacket there. When I’ve had a similar net tulle skirt I’ve had a cummerbund waistband belt and a sleeveless top or close fitting top/t shirt.

That is a gorgeous skirt, as others have said a plain top would work best. I would wear heels (whatever height you are comfortable with) and a small plain bag. Everything plain as the skirt is the star of the show.

As others have said, round neck, cropped cardigan with black fitted top underneath. I now really want the burgundy one!

I bought a black tulle skirt last Christmas also from next and paired it with a thin Zara silver jumper. Velvet Mary Jane’s and good to go.

I’ve looked or been shown other long net skirts on the Next website too. Basically keep it fairly simple (though silver, gold or pewter or bronze would work) on top. The skirt, in this case (with the embroidery) is the star.

You could carry the top colour to feet and accessories, I’ve got a darker silver (almost pewter) pair of ankle western boots which I could wear with a similar colour on top.

I'd wear it with a forest green cashmere jumper, black DM boots and black leather jacket if you have one.

I’d wear a deep burgundy or camel jumper and then some black or gold strappy sandals

Ooohhh gorgeous skirt op, I’m sure you’ll look fabulous whatever you you choose. I’d wear a long pair of black boots and either a long sleeved silk shirt or a cream cashmere sweater.

I would either choose a stylish, edgy body top in a contrast colour (think slinky but classy), or a lightweight sheerish blouse in black with glittery or embroidered highlights (sophisticated/grown-up).

Me personally would pair with gold strappy heels and a gold cowl neck cami with a shirt sleeved cardi to cover up 😊

Hi lovely skirt. A few ways I would style.

1. Thin heel rather than block and you could either go shorter Chanel esk jacket with a simple black sleeveless top underneath

2. same heel as above and cream satin/ silk top that is like a cami

3. black or white T shirt - well fitted so not boxy and chunky boots

4. a silky silver or black wrap top with bow at back and this could be long sleeved or no sleeve.

What a beautiful skirt! I’m going to order this too OP, along with the burgundy as can’t work out what I prefer. Have also seen this skirt on the Next website which has a similar vibe. I would team with a top like this one to let the skirts shine.

Plain long sleeve t shirt, or simple crew neck merino sweater. Wouldn’t say a cardigan will look good, the skirt is quite detailed, reckon a row of buttons will complicate it.

I have a similar skirt and wear it with a silky black polo neck jumper...got mine from Kettlewell but I'm sure there's cheaper.
And I also have a black deep v neck cardigan with tiny Swarovski buttons (replaced the plain buttons myself) that I wear with it with a lace top camisole underneath.

Very nice. Personally would go for the deep red and shoes rather than boots (unusual for me!).
