Wide leg jeans - are these any good?

Finally managed to get hold of some in Long. 2 different sizes (not much difference tbh)
What do you think?
I think they fit me well but don't particularly flatter me.

Apologies for the skimpy base layer, I wanted to show the fit. I'd wear with a jumper that ends just below the waist.

I live in my M&S wide leg jeans. I thought the first pair looked great but agree they need to be a lighter blue for the casual look.

Second pair much better. The first are ok, but they’re only just wide leg rather than straight, and it’s making them a bit meh. Agree with others that a lighter-weight denim is important so that they flow rather than just sit there. I’ve got a couple of pairs of very dark ones, though, I don’t agree that they only work in a lighter wash.

I have the M and S version and have 3 pairs,they're amazing.

OP they're just too big,size down.

M and S do a version of these if this is the look you want.

Nice!! Where did you get them in the end? I have been wearing my M&S ones a lot. My only issue with them is they make me feel great and stylish but they don't make me thinner. I like jeans that make me.look thinner! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, I had some Mango jeans a few years ago that I was wearing a size 16 and and they were just fine... at the time I was definitely closer to a size 18.
