What does a 46 year old wear to a theatre concert?

It's a 90's night at a local theatre. Saturday night, you're up and dancing through it. What on earth do people wear to this type of thing? I'm 5'4, size 12.

'Nothing Compares to U' sung by Sinéad O'Conner was a big hit in the 90s.

All you have to do is shave your head...

...and look a bit sad.

I wouldn’t take myself to such an event, but if forced to go, these might be fun to wear:

Cos 1 With only a sleeveless vest underneath.

Cos 2 With slip.

And trainers.

Nice for dancing, and both should be useful over the next few months either separately or together. Though I suspect most people attending will be in jeans …

Jeans and a top, dm's if you have them. Some may go full on themed for such occasions but 90's isn't far from today so trickier

I went to a 90s club night recently and I wore a black dress with converse trainers. I'm 45.

Is it 90s fancy dress? The 90s are quite in at the moment anyway to be fair, baggy jeans, Nirvana t shirt, checked shirt tied round the waist... Exactly what I was wearing in 1995 😂

You can get full 90s kit in primark at the moment.

90s night? Easy. I'm 48 and would wear similar to my 1998 garage girl club wear - sexy cami top with unbuttoned satin blouse & slim black trousers from river island & heels, same as what ppl are wearing now to be honest if a bit more covered up than some; it's what I wear out to a bar now anyway.

I used to wear mini skirts or body con pencil skirts out in the 90s / 00s etc instead of the trousers but I was thin then, now I'm a size 16 I think less is more iykwim.

Jeans, tshirt, converse. No need to dress up- people wear anything to shows these days.

I recently went to something similar and I dressed up in full 90s gear, as did a lot of other people, but those who didn't were mostly in either jeans/trainers/t-shirt or dress/docs combinations. One woman who looked great was wearing a boiler suit, then suddenly later in the evening she also had a gold cape, but I realise that this was a bit niche.

A slip dress if you want to channel Kate Moss or Posh spice

Wide legged jeans with a nice top. Maybe a bit of scary spice animal print

Or go full on 90s teenager/sporty spice with some slightly silky Adidas side stripe joggers

In the nineties I was mostly wearing jeans and rugby top (green and white striped), maybe pencil skirts. Definitely a few blazers around too.
