It's a 90's night at a local theatre. Saturday night, you're up and dancing through it. What on earth do people wear to this type of thing? I'm 5'4, size 12.

Well I’d be going 90s-
combats and a top job done.

I wouldn’t take myself to such an event, but if forced to go, these might be fun to wear:

Cos 1 With only a sleeveless vest underneath.

Cos 2 With slip.

And trainers.

Nice for dancing, and both should be useful over the next few months either separately or together. Though I suspect most people attending will be in jeans …

They made me laugh, sorry.

OP where what you’d normally wear when going out..

I used to go to 1970s club nights in the 1990s wearing my 1990s clothes.

My clothes now are not particularly different from those I wore in the 1990s - thins like skinny t-shirts, boot cut jeans and wide legged trousers. I just don't tend to wear say, velvet hotpants, patterned tights and DMs or tiny metallic blue A line skirts and platform trainers but if I were a couple of stone lighter I might 😅

I was in my twenties during the 90s. I don't remember anybody wearing jumpsuits. Not where I was living, at least. 🤷‍♀️

Low slung bootcut jeans with a belt and two vest tops one on top of the other. High heels. Thin eyebrows (possible create by covering some of the brow with concealer?).

Wide trousers, sleeveless body, trainers.

Basically the outfit I wear every time I go out these days (I have an abundance of wide trousers and bodies!)

I agree - can't remember seeing any jumpsuits in the 90s. Just do remember seeing someone who was clearly young in the 90s looking good in a boiler suit at a recent 90s night, not dressed for the theme but just her own going-out outfit for now. It's not something I would wear (need to go for a wee too frequently) but I admired it.

I only do comfortable so would go for cargo trousers and a t shirt
